We rented the Ashley Rose main house for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had 11 people and fit very comfortably in the house. The highlight is the location - about a 5 minute walk to the beach and town/restaurants, shops, etc. We parked the car and didn't use it for the entire week (except for a trip to... More

The Ashley Rose - a historical gem. The house/mansion is very homey and close to the beach. The home was previously a finishing school for girls (at least that’s what all the tour guides mentioned as they passed the house). We used the home for a family reunion which can easily accommodate a large number of guests. The location is... More

Every year we spend a long weekend with our best friends from Virginia Tech (class of 1976). This year 13 of us (5 couples and 3 singles) gathered at the Ashley Rose, and what a wonderful weekend we had! Lots of good food (kitchen and dining room were great), hanging out (love that front porch!), walking and biking around town... More

Our girls' weekend at the Inlet Cottage was delightful in every way! The location was convenient to beach & fun, the upper deck was perfect for post-beach cocktails, and Sally made every effort to ensure the stay was very comfortable! Hope to return!

My husband and I rented the Tea Rose for an extended weekend the end of September for our first anniversary. We are frequent visitors of Cape May and this was one of our best trips! We never stayed so close to town before and we absolutely LOVED the location! Close to shops, restaurants and the beach... truly the perfect location.... More

A super way to celebrate an anniversary is a visit to the Ashley Rose and Cape May. These guests fully enjoyed all the cape may has to offer. As one frequents our beach town, they find many activities to do "again and again." The tea rose is one of 4 units we have to offer at 715 Columbia Ave. The... More

We spent a lovely week in the Ashley Rose Mansion with family who had traveled with us for our daughter's wedding (which was held at Leamings Run Gardens - a PERFECT venue for a wedding). The house met all of our needs for our large gathering. My sister and her husband were able to rent the small apartment that connected... More

Such a nice Family! I had the chance to meet most of the family and they were super fun. They traveled mostly from the Carolinas to our quaint little town. They were so kind and welcoming they invited us for breakfast (now that is hospitality). It was wonderful to see them celebrate such an important event with us at the... More

We rented the small cottage at the Ashley Rose with a deck outside the bedroom. Be aware that although there are french-type doors that lead from the bedroom to the deck, there is only a temporary screen that you need to gerrymander into place that will allow you to have fresh air -- and, your room will be fully open... So nice to have visitors here in the fall. I am so glad that overall this couple enjoyed Cape May. I wanted to address their concerns to help future tenants. Sandy's high winds and storm were such a threat. We were forced to make some additional changes to help the little structure to stay safe. We made our storm door... More

The Ashley Rose is such a beautiful and tranquil place and we loved staying there. It was perfect for a large family reunion. We've been to Cape May several times, always in different houses, and this was the nicest yet. Great access (and views!) of the ocean, short walk to town, and historic to boot. It was great to see... Great location, 2 blocks from beach and 3 blocks to Washington square. The neighborhood is beautiful and the house is really clean and well cared for ( and I'm definitely on the picky side.) Sally always addressed my questions and concerned promptly. Great place to stay!

WOW !! It will be hard to find a better cared for, managed, SAFE and accessible to all that Cape May NJ has to offer, than The Ashley Rose Inn. We stayed in the private "Cottage Inn", that is part of the grounds, around back, for over a week, just after Labor Day. Perfect for our Honeymoon. Fully equipped kitchen,... More
