We heard about this place from a friend who has a site for the season and a boat in the bay down the road. The kayaking is through a state park. There are plenty of obstacles like fallen trees but easily delt with adding to the adventure. Being a natural area the driver told us they are not allowed to... More

We were told this campground was nice and since we wanted to head to the shore for Labor Day weekend and do it affordably. That is the best we have to say about this campground. The bathrooms at NY state run campgrounds (even older ones) are cleaner than these were. Sites were small and not level enough. Navigating the campgrounds... More

This campground takes deposits over the phone using a credit card. I put down a deposit on three tent sites and paid in full for 3 canoe rentals because they only accepted full payment for a reservation. The total deposit on the card was $291 with additional balance due at check in. Never was a cancellation policy mentioned. I asked... More

Stayed here last weekend with 2 other families rented 3 tent sites. We checked in at the office and was told our site was located directly across from the office. We turned around and looked out the office window. There was our site, a little patch of grass surrounded by RVs and campers. Directly across from our "campsite" was the... More

Good bang for the buck Kayakers skill level change on the creek depending on water conditions according to time of year.. Too much rain will necesstate higher skill level so use common sense and don't blame everyone else. We had great fun knocking each other of off their kayaks. :0)))

We signed up for kayaking and were told it was very easy and relaxing. The creek was very rough and there were trees and large branches in the water that you rant into and could not avoid. My sister-in-law and I were running into fallen trees and branches everywhere. After five minutes our kayak ran into a fallen tree and... More

This should not be considered a campground. The tent site's are way to small. You can barely fit a 10 x 10 tent in the small size lot they give you. I basically had my tent up against my car. All the site's are cramped together, you have absolutley no privacy. You better hope you like the people in the... More

On a recent trip to Seaside Heights, NJ, we needed an inexpensive place to stay for just one night. Since we are both avid tent campers, we thought we'd try out the Cedar Creek campground. They had a great website, and after reading hotel reviews of Seaside Heights here, we both felt that it'd be better to get a campsite.... More
