My boyfriend and i had an amazing Brunch last Sunday. The food was amazing and the waiters were very nice and friendly. The place is only few blocks away from the beach, and the area is very quite. We will definitely come back!

my wife and booked a last minute, mid week get-a-way. I check the trip advisor, and saw not many choices for the area we wanted. this place was welcoming from the first phone call, til check-out. I asked when making the reservations about some of the things a read about on trip advisor, they answered my questions and had the... More

We also stayed at the Grenville through a Living Social deal. The location is great in terms of proximity to the beach. However, everything else about this stay was mediocre - thin walls, uncomfortable mattress, average food and a continental breakfast that we skipped. It could be a really good property but this place still needs a serious renovation.

We stayed at the Grenville with a Living Social deal. For $139.00, our room came with a $50 dinner voucher, which was a great deal for a Thursday during peak season and a room just steps from the beach. From my first phone call to book the room until we departed, we experienced courteous and friendly service. Harry and Renee... More

Our spread out family gathered at the historic, recently renovated Grenville for our father's 80th birthday. The staff was wonderful in coordinating rooms for 16 guests, arranging a gourmet leisurely dinner on the terrace, and ordering a delicious cake from a local bakery. Relatives who arrived early were welcomed, given a place to change into bathing suits and beach tags... More

The Grenville dates back to 1890 and it's easy to imagine its heyday. Today, though, it feels very dated and rough around the edges. Carpets are dingy. Beach towels are threadbare (if they're available at all -- definitely bring your own). Walls are paper-thin. Our bedroom did not have screens for the windows (one of the windows was completely stuck... More

Dirty, run down. Our room was dirty. Windows covered in dirt. Furniture marred. No headboard on bed, little refrigerator visibly rusting, hole in the wall, 19 " old school TV...and $200 a night. Would not walk on carpeting with shoes. Disgusting.

Our goal is to successfully please every guest, making their stay with us a favorable memorable experience. Unfortunately, we have failed you. After visiting the room with our housekeeping supervisor we realized that some points you mentioned were valid. We are redecorating the rooms. The room had been freshly painted, carpet cleaned, new bedding. Most of the rooms already have... More

We really liked this place. It had the nice feeling of a historic building, was very clean, and the staff was very helpful. The beds were very comfortable and we got a good night of sleep. They also have a very nice wine selection. I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.

My wife and some friends recently attended a Tea Party at the Grenville Hotel. She was introduced to the owners, Renee and Harry. She just loved the redecorated dining area. She said that the sandwiches were wonderful, small and very English style, just like in the movies, and the service was superb. We returned to experience and enjoy their Easter... More
