The Basking Ridge Courtyard is situated more with an industrial campus areas and a convenient area near highways. You must travel for a while to get to more populated areas. The hotel tell is a traditional courtyard with the standard amenities. It is a comfortable place to stay very clean. It's not high end but for what it is, this... More

The hotel itself was ok but our carpet in the room was soaking wet. It was wet next to the AC unit near the windows and also in between the beds near the nightstand, which made no sense. When I told the front desk the next morning they told me they'd check for damages as if we did something! They... More

sq86, I am so sorry you had to deal with the issue of wet spots and noisy vent in the bathroom. I will use your experience to retrain the staff on handling issues. The minimum we could do is say we are sorry. I hope you give us another chance. Sincerely, Scott S. General Manager More

We enjoyed a weekend stay at this hotel, picked for its location, price, and good rating through Trip Adviser. Our room, with sofa, desk, HDTV, small fridge, large window space, and king-sized bed was comfortable, and clean with a nice supply of toiletries. My spouse and I slept well both nights. Hot water came quickly through the pipes anytime we... More

We were in town for a large family reunion in Bernardsville. When visiting the Bernardsville, NJ the hotels options essentially boil down to: The Bernards Inn, Hotel Indigo, Dolce Basking Ridge, Olde Mill Inn, Somerset Hills and The Courtyard Basking Ridge. On advice of family that live in the area, we were warned not to even consider Somerset Hills. Having... More

We stayed here two weekend nights while visiting my mother-in-law at Chelsea on King George Road, just one exit away. This hotel is conveniently located right next to the expressway. I thought we would be bothered by road noise but we weren't. Everything was just as we expected: clean and comfortable. The spacious rooms open up to a lovely courtyard... More

This Courtyard is very clean, good sized rooms, and nice smelling. The decor is not the new trendy modern Courtyard but more a contemporary style. Very large flat screen tv (40") and nice decor. Excellent common areas. Their make over looks pricey. I had an issue with internet for 2 nights and got very frustrated. I will say that asst.... More

ATLconsultant I am happy to hear you enjoyed the décor, service and amenities of the hotel. The mattresses are very comfortable as we have replaced every mattress in the hotel earlier this year. We are in the process of upgrading the hotel’s entire internet service and hope to have this completed by August. Regards, Scott S. General Manager More

Peggy S, Thank you for the kind review, I am always happy to see a guest has enjoyed her stay at our property. We are a little more expensive than most people expect for being in the suburbs but the cost of real estate, wages, taxes etc… is extremely high in the this very affluent area of NJ. While the hotel has a new lobby the rooms appeared worn. Our room smelled like body odor and the finish was worn from the hardware on the sink. The pool was broken our entire stay. The worst part is this hotel has an atrium in the lobby so the rooms above are exposed to the lobby below. In all my... More

DJC1976, Thank you for taking the time to write a review, your feedback is important to us. Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend for a baseball tournament. Several teams also stayed here so atmosphere was a little noisy with kids. Management was great with the kids though. After arriving back at the hotel late in the evening, the kids wanted to go in the pool but it closed at 11 p.m. They let the kids stay in... More

Teach227, Thank you for the review, I agree Memorial Day was very busy with several baseball teams for the tournament. It is good to hear the managers handled the kids well and able to provide activities at night whether it was a fire in the fire pit or a late night swim. The Bistro is open on Sunday nights as... When I am not sure where to stay, I generally choose Marriott. Good service and cleanliness are a must for me. The workout room is important as well. Also, they have very nice mattresses. This location fits my needs.

Misheidi, Thank you for staying with us and the kind words. We do have a nice exercise room including 7 aerobic machines with TV monitors, dumbbells and a universal machine. The mattresses are only a few months old so I am not surprised you were pleased with them. Glad we could meet your needs!! Scott Selby General Manager More
