The Wolfeboro Inn is a very nice place to stay with family. I grew up with a family home at the Lake, and needed a place to stay after our family property was sold. I stayed here on several occasions. The first time was while wedding planning, and we even considered the hotel as a possible venue (we later vetoed)... More

Thank you very much for your review! I appreciate your feedback about your breakfast in Wolfe's Tavern. We pride ourselves on serving the best breakfast in town, but it sounds like we fell short that day. Please accept my apology, and I encourage you to give the tavern another try when you stay with us again. Thank you for being... More

Things do not always work out for the best. When there is a problem, some places care, some do not. This place is obsessed with their guests! We stayed for three nights. On our first night, our bed did not work out for us. Not being complainers, we waited until morning to speak with someone at the desk. The person... More

Went for a weekend getaway and after a walk up and down Main Street we went to put our groceries in the fridge only to discover someone else's leftover pizza and to go box. If you plan on eating dinner in the tavern on a Saturday night you WILL have to bring a set of ear plugs if they have... More

Thank you very much for your review! I do apologize that your door lock required wiggling and that we overlooked inspecting the refrigerator in your room. This is certainly not consistent with our standards. We do have entertainment in the lower lounge space of our restaurant, Wolfe's Tavern, on most weekends in the offseason. We offer a variety of entertainment,... More

We arrived early and the receptionist didn't put me in the best of moods. We were on a big road trip across several states and sometimes arrived early as we woke up early due to the time difference between the US and the UK. All the other hotels on this trip let us into our room if it was ready.... More

Thank you so much for your review. I do apologize that we weren't able to provide you with a check-in earlier than 1:30pm. We guarantee check-in at 3:00pm, and there are days--especially during busy times of the year--when it isn't possible for us to honor every request to check in early or check out late. We are happy to extend... More

Although the large rooms are beginning to show their age they are comfortable and include wifi and a spacious bathroom, both great features of this hotel. While the room was very large with a lounge it didn't have separate rooms. Great restaurant with good room service and a nice downstairs bar with atmosphere were great. Room had a nice view... More

The photos and comments on this place raised our expectations too high. Sure it's nice and sits near the Lake but it's not really "on the lake" but set back. It is also big and its decor a bit contrived. We paid for a partial water view room and got just that together with a preposterous one person "standing room... More

Thank you for telling us about your experience. You are correct that the inn is set back from the lake. The inn started as a private home in the center of Wolfeboro, and became a guest house in the late 19th century when a rail line was extended into town to meet the steam ships that were operating on Lake... I stayed at the Wolfeboro Inn for two nights as part of a coach tour. The Inn was our best stop. The rooms were not as 'fancy' as some of the other large hotels we stayed at but they were the most comfortable and quiet with roomy bathrooms and a fantastic location. We ate breakfast twice, lunch once - on... More

Went with my husband and parents for our first leaf peeping trip and while the leaves had not changed much in that area, it was a grey spot to use as a "home base" for a couple of days. Rooms were basic but clean; I found the bed very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and restaurant on location,The Tavern,... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to review your experience at the inn. I'm glad you have a wonderful time. The s'mores are a lot of fun, there is nothing quite as enjoyable as sitting around a fire on an autumn evening. We look forward to seeing you again soon, thank you for being our guest! More

We stayed at this hotel for a friend's wedding, and also got to enjoy the surrounding area a bit while we were there. The hotel was nice, but more importantly for us it had a great location. It is right on the lake, and a short drive or medium walk to the nearby marina where you can rent a boat... More
