My sister is a big Ghost Hunters fan and fan of really all things creepy. She was so excited to have her wedding at the Spalding Inn. I had just graduated from a pastry school and decided to make her wedding cake. I contacted the staff with a million questions about the process and they were quick to respond with... More

Most of the Lodges were built before we were all born in the White Mountains so they are old. I do agree with the review I read that the Owners should be onsite. Things would get done, Service would be Better. The Inn Needs an Ongoing Upgrade That they never started. I agree with many here , Its a Ghost... More

Checkin: When we made the reservation over the phone, we were recommended to get a room at the Carriage House since it's bigger. Upon check-in, the receptionist warned us that our room could be a little loud at night since it's the oldest building of the Inn and had a very old heating system. She told us that if it's... More

Maybe I should have read some of the reviews on TripAdvisor before booking our stay at this hotel. We may have decided to go regardless, because we are both Ghost Hunter's Fans. Thankfully we only stayed one night. My husband and I took a several day trip to New England in September - had a great time overall, even our... More

We thought this would be a fun adventure and since we had a Groupon, we stayed one night. I'm so glad we didn't make it a weekend get-away. The Spaulding Inn is located next to the Mountain View Grand Resort and Spa. We thought the Spaulding Inn looked run down in comparison, but no, it really is just run down.... More

The Inn is old and run down but the experience was amazing. If "staying in a place with paranormal experiences" is right up your alley, then this is a must. Let Drea tell you stories of the Inn. We stayed in Carriage House #7. The "old grumpy spirit" is usually wandering in #13 (right over our room). If you expect... More

Where, right in the middle of the White Mountains, can you find a room for three for $99 per night? That is very clean, that has good (not great) views, that is air conditioned and has a phone, and that includes breakfast? Go try. This place is no strip motel--it is set on a very pretty country road, has clearly... More

We went because of Jason and Grant's ownership and were not disappointed. We loved the location and the quaint rooms. The food was delicous and would have made the trip worth it alone. The staff, from front desk to pub and restaurant, were all so friendly and ready to assist with any needs. We had a great time and quickly... More

We really enjoyed this beautiful, rustic inn. It is off the beaten track, with hydrangeas out in front, and a wide porch lined with rocking chairs. The rooms are all different, and furnished with antiques. We loved the old fixtures like the original wainscotting, and ceramic sinks. The rooms have no televisions or Wi-fii, although there is a television in... More

This was my first stay at the Spalding. I did purchase this with a Groupon at a nicely discounted rate (ie: you get what you pay for). The Pros: scenic location, quiet, quaint, clean guest rooms, pleasant and spacious common areas, continental breakfast provided, nice historic location (check out the book in the common area detailing the history of this...
