We chose this place as it was getting dark, we had just driven non-stop from Boston after a flight from the Caribbean and we just needed a bed. And for that purpose, the Fireside Inn was just fine. It doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not. The only gripes were that the bathroom fluoro lights were pulsing, which in... more

Nice hotel with comfortable room and quiet most of the time. I have never slept so well in a hotel before. The free breakfast buffet was good, hot and tasty. Juice and coffee were included along with very friendly service. Clean and hot hot tub and pool. Fire in the fireplace most of the time made it a nice warm... more

I really enjoyed our visit to A Fireside In in Lebanon NH: big room (#205) and nice food, nice breakfast, nice hot tub, classical music in the lobby, fire going all the time. For a large place, it had a warm friendly feeling. Bed and breakfasts are often claustrophobic—if you don’t like the personality of the owners, you don’t have... more

Don't stay in the C wing of this establishment. Our non-smoking room was located on the first floor of the C wing and when we walked in the entire place smelled of cigarette smoke. Apparently the second floor is all smoking rooms so this filled the first floor with smoke. When we requested to change rooms, we were told by... more

I have stayed here several times for business. The word 'average' sums it up nicely. I have to agree with the other reviewer who suggested that this place needs a face-lift. I get the impression that it is 'old'. Having said that, it is adequate. The rates are decent, and once you figure out how to get to the place,... more

We stayed here during the Prouty fundraising event in Hanover. Loved the free breakfast - quite an extensive selection. Beds were comfortable. I frequently have backaches, but not in their bed. Lobby is nice with a huge fireplace. People are friendly. Fun pub within walking distance. All in all, comfortable stay at a reasonable price. more

They say they have WiFi but I had to actually switch rooms to get it to work. Needless to say, this was a major inconvenience. The front desk admitted the WiFi is unreliable and often doesn't work but the management is apparently too cheap to upgrade or replace the system. more

We stayed at the Fireside Inn as a place to spend the weekend so that we could be with our friends and attend two operas in nearby Lebanon. The hotel has a very attractive lobby and garden-like setting for its large dining and breakfast room. The check-in was swift and the staff was friendly. Our room was clean, and the... more

I was so pleasantly surprised to check into this hotel while traveling for work. Some hotels that I get put up in are dirty, uncomfortable, and lacking in basic amenities. The Fireside Inn had everything and made me feel at home while I bunkered in during a nasty Nor'easter. I liked it so much that I just booked another stay... more

We had three rooms for new years eve.5 adult s and 7 children the folks that checked us in seem like they were just passing time until shift ended. Not very friendly. The pool was great for the kids but the hot tub was way to hot. We saw folks that got out of the hot tub and they were... more
