A recent spontaneous furniture shopping trip landed us just outside of Brattleboro, VT where we discovered the Chesterfield Inn in West Chesterfield, NH, just a stones throw to the Connecticut river and all things Vermont. Our room was more like a suite than just a room. the amenities included, a fireplace , quaint tables, books, dvd player, patio set on... More

Yes, we are conveniently located just 2 miles from the Brattleboro, Vermont border, just 19 minutes from downtown. Your room was in what we call the Johanna Wetherby building, a building with 4 rooms with queen bed, fireplace, and private terrace. These rooms are pet friendly, so if you want to bring your dog or cat, they are welcome. The... More

I visit relatives in Brattleboro and always stay here, just a few miles away. Lovely New England ambience, great full breakfast , quiet and civilized. Helpful staff, dog friendly, nice grounds with lawn chairs for enjoying sunsets. Very good chef and menu, and included afternoon treats.

Thank you, Sharon. We are just two miles from Brattleboro, Vermont and are very convenient if you're visiting family there. We're a good home base to return to at the end of the day for a glass of iced tea and cookies and a quiet dinner in our dining room. We'll start you off with a full breakfast the next... More

We arrived at midnight and found our room to be terrific. Breakfast was a hot, full breakfast affair, complete with table service. Fantastic! The building is beautiful and the furnishings are gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and helpful and parking is conveniently located near the front entrance. The noise from the road wasn't as bad as was mentioned on... More

Yes, full breakfast cooked to order with table service is included with your stay. We think it's the only way to start your day! We do find that our location on a busy road is very convenient and that you don't notice the traffic once you are here. The inn is set back from the road and the the trees... More

What a wonderful birthday gift from my husband! We stayed in room 17 which is spacious, and tastefully decorated--unpretentious elegance with a charming balcony and very comfortable 4 poster bed. If you love animals, as I do, you can even invite the friendly resident cat, Yoda, in for a visit! The meals were delicious and all the staff were charming.... More

We're glad that you like the decor in Room 17; we just redecorated that room last month. Yoda is part of the staff here; he welcomes our guests in his own royal way, if he wakes up from his nap. Thank you for the kind words, and please visit us again. More

My husband and I had a "getaway" night for our 15th wedding anniversary. We stayed in Room 20 with the gas fireplace, double whirlpool tub, and king size four poster bed. We had dinner and breakfast at the inn. The food was outstanding and the staff was excellent as well. The room was very clean and cozy. We highly recommend... More

We stayed in Room 20, one of the two “cottage” suites added in 1995. With a king four-poster bed, a double whirlpool tub and gas fireplace, we couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable location. Wide French doors opened to the private deck overlooking the gardens. Individually controlled air conditioning is available, but with nice cross ventilation and the large... More

Come stay with us for a relaxing weekend. We can offer privacy and quiet, and you can enjoy breakfast in bed, a day exploring the countryside, a nap before dinner, and then maybe a glass of wine on the terrace before a delicious dinner in our serene dining room. Let us pamper you! More

Glad that you came for a return visit! We do try to have something for everyone on the menu for breakfast and dinner and everything is made from scratch in house. My husband and I took our Vizsla on a valentines day adventure at Chesterfield Inn. We planned to go hiking at the many forests and parks in the area. The Inn was a picturesque New England B&B. We even enjoyed their choices of CDs in the room. The room was very clean, despite being pet-friendly. The dinner at the Inn... More

We're glad that you enjoyed your Valentine's Day here at the inn. The roasted chicken and maple creme brulee are two of our most popular menu items. We love having our guests bring their 4 legged friends and keep the pet friendly rooms just as spotless as the non-pet friendly rooms. Our Valentine's Day weekend was made even more romantic... Lived in the area for 12 years, and had not been to the Inn for dinner yet. Asked a friend to join me for dinner, and she had not been there for 20 years. Lovely setting (particularly in the snow), welcoming entrance with fire and friendly greeter, impressive common areas and dining room, and then the meal !!! Great menu,... More

Thanks, Ray! You were here for the beginning of the Winter menu, and I'm glad that you enjoyed the Chicken with the Maple Bourbon Mustard Sauce. Salad, homemade bread and savory muffins come with all of the entrees. Chef Bob's salad dressings are so delicious; he gets the balance of tart and sweet perfectly. More
