I would like to start and say that the surroundings of Waterville Valley are gorgeous ! I spent a few days there and rented 4 rooms. The rooms were next to each other in our own section. We were able to use the adjoining common room privately. The rooms were very old fashioned, the doors actually had brass keys (... More

Usually I stay at the Golden Eagle when I visit Waterville Valley with my family, but this year due to a shortage of rooms we stayed at the Snowy Owl Inn. Even though my family booked three rooms together, we all ended up on different floors in different kinds of rooms. My partner and I asked to switch rooms to... More

I wouldn't recommend this place, but I wouldn't stop anyone from coming here either. The room wasn't "modern" as described, but we expected so much (old tube TV, retro-ish decor). The bathroom door was warped so it was nearly impossible to open/close fully. The pool / Jacuzzi room was stuffy; the Jacuzzi didn't have enough water in it and you... More

Clean facility - very little else to offer. Limited breakfast daily. Best suited for young families with kids vs. adults looking for a resort destination. Suspect since we were there in th summer might be reason for limited service. Trash barrels at entrance of propeorty were overflowing for 3 straight days.

The mismatched furniture, worn carpet and wood paneling on every wall brought me back to the ski chalets of my childhood! It would probably be very cozy in the winter, with fires going in the lodge-y entrance. I agree with the need for newer mattresses and definitely new bedspreads! Bits of trash remained in the hallway for the weekend, but... More

Waterville Valley is a tourist destination and famous ski area, so we didn't hesitate to book a room here. Check-in was stated as 4:00pm, we arrived at 4:15pm and the front desk was closed for the day! Our check-in packet with keys along with other guests' who were arriving was left on the counter with a note asking us to... More

Oh man... the maze of dark corridors with roped-off sections, the dusty, mouldy smell... It felt like this place was not at its best, and it was stuck in a low budget 1980s movie. Check-in time is 4pm, and we arrived at 4:30pm to find it was closed. Our papers and the key were just left on the desk... The... More

My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend get away to the mountains and stayed at the Snowy Owl Inn. We booked at room advertised with two queen sized beds, but when we arrived we were pretty sure the beds were not queen, but full size. We let that slide and just stayed in the room anyways. The property... More

This place was horrible. The place was old and musty. The air conditioner did not work. The beds were small and old. The room smelled of some sort of musty disguise. The TV was old and small. Bathroom was nasty and we couldn't wait to get out of there in the morning. Good place for young skiers or people with... More

The rooms are fairly nice. Ours had a in-bath hot tub, though we didn't use it. This place looks like a museum of 1970's decor....looks like a very dated little ski inn. We supposedly had a wedding discount, but it was a negligible discount, and we thought that the place was overpriced for what it is. The sun comes in... More
