verynice place to stay not too fancy, but everything you need for a nice family weekend. We are a family of five and the bedroom with an additional twin and daybed plus the Murphy bed gave everyone their own space to sleep. We made our own food (which we brought) in the kitchen. Jugtown store has everything you need including... More

This was the first time my husband and I stayed in Waterville Valley, NH. We were awed at the lovely scenery, layout of the valley resorts and Towne Square. We stayed at the Black Bear Lodge in the Black Bear Suite. My what helpful, cheerful staff and so many amenities!! The lodge itself is in need of some modern upgrades... More

We got a groupon with 3 nights stay in this lodge. This place looks like it needs some work in the hallway but the our room looks recently renovated and beyond average. My family have a great time here especially with the freedom pass, to have the access of hotel pools, the gym and bigger size pools and hot tubs... More

Beautiful location, wonderful amenities. We had a very nice room, came with everything we needed for the weekend of our visit. The kitchen was well supplied and the room was very comfortable. My only complaint was that the Jacuzzi was difficult to use because of the many children and teenagers using it when it was open and the cleaning of... More

Came here on a Groupon, SOO glad we did. Really nice community atmosphere among the many condo style hotels in the Valley. We stayed after Labor Day Saturday - Monday and it was cold for September so we could not take part in the water sport part of the "Pass" deal we bought. We stayed in a queen "studio" which... More

My family has stayed at Black Bear for several years - it has had its ups and downs - but is now on an upswing. To start with - Charley is the front desk manager and she is terrific!! Very kind and accommodating - you can tell she wants the guests to be happy here. I asked for a room... More

My family booked through Groupon a stay this past mid week here. What can I say? I used to work at a 5 star hotel in downtown Boston, so that might attribute to the 2 star only for the Lodge. Anyway, they gave us room 110 in the basement when they barely had many guests stay that night. I'm sure... More

We really enjoyed our visit to the mountains of NH and your lodge. Our "apartment" was spacious and very comfortable. Unfortunately we were mid week after Labor Day and most of the facilities available on the "pass" were not open. We really wanted to do the chair lift.

Great place to stay. The suite we were in was very clean but really needs to be updated....the furniture was the type with wooden frames and loose cushions. The pool is very nice and the ability to grab a cup of coffee in the lobby was appreciated. I love the fact that it's close to the Town Square...but not too... More

It was a hot humid day and when we arrived the AC was not on. The AC was not strong enough to cool the entire unit. Our daughter slept on the pull out couch, which was old and uncomfortable. Overall the room was dated and not worth the price we paid:(
