Is it dated? Yes, but our 1 bedroom condo (rm. 303) was clean and comfortable, and had what you needed. The kitchen had everything you would expect and the living room was spacious and had a good size flatscreen/cable and a similar TV in the separate bedroom. The bedroom also had a day bed with trundle. The bathroom is small... More

This is the second year that my family has stayed at the Black Bear Lodge during February break. We love it! The layout of the rooms is perfect for our family of four, allowing the kids to bed down early in a separate room, but not requiring them to sleep together as is often the case in hotels. The pool... I stayed at the BlackBear for three nights. The room was condo style. A little dated, but the location is great. Just a shuttle ride or short car ride to the mountain. The lodge is located right in the village, so it is accessible to the local market (town square). The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were very... More

We stayed at the Black Bear Lodge March 7-9, and loved it! The condo was dated but very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The shuttle bus to the mountain is so convenient. The kids loved the pool and game room. The adults enjoyed the restaurants and shops at Town Square. Also, the front desk staff was so friendly... More

I stayed here for a snowboarding trip, good facilities, and the apartment had everything I needed. Don't expect full hotel service, as it is not what this is for. My room had a big TV where I could plug my computer to watch movies in a comfy couch after a day in the snow.

We love Black bear lodge It is very convenient, comfortable place with excellent service and very friendly people. We love the fact that it has small and very convenient kitchen. Morning coffee is always great, nice pool and outdoor hottub. Area is great.

I can only speak for the particular unit we were in. There may be others that are nicer and/or cleaner. Our unit was extremely outdated, dirty and had an awful smell of old fried food. Everything was covered in dust. The glasses were filthy. There was only enough hot water for one shower. That's quite an inconvenience for a family... More

Perfect for our family of four! Clean room, spacious, beautiful, warm and inviting! My kids loved the indoor/outdoor pool, we enjoyed the jacuzzi. Close to Waterville Valley Ski area. Staff was welcoming and even made reservations for us at the Coyote Grill! Plan on making this a family tradition. Thank you Pat and Chris

We took our three children to BBL for a long weekend. The pricing is on the steep side but, we saved money on meals with the in unit kitchen... I feel that the staff, location and amenities provide a worth while value. We were very pleased with our overall experience and because I am retired from the Marines we were... More

The room we had for the weekend ($350 plus) had plenty of sq footage but was extremely outdated. It was our first stay at the Black Bear and I found that its room interior to be extremely outdated and kind of "din-gee". There was no food service on the premises, which I made having to drag younger children out in... More
