Really, a wonderful experience. Our hockey team stayed there for a tournament weekend and the service was excellent! Comfortable, reasonably priced, with many amenities thanks to the Activity Pass. We were on the ground floor by the pool and game room and knee-hockey room. The rink was an easy stroll across the parking lot. The housekeeping staff even knew our... More

I was a little hesitant to stay here because of the mixed reviews especially about the place being outdated. I got a good deal through Travelzoo and went the weekend after Thanksgiving. It had snowed up there and was gorgeous. I found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly. The unit I stayed in was sparkling clean and very... More

If your in Waterville Valley, stay here. This hotel has everything, great service, an indoor/outdoor poor, and a hot tub. Every room is pretty big. Larger than a normal hotel room. In the lobby there is always a fire with comfortable couches to sit in

We have 3 young adult boys, 14 years, 19 years, and 21 years old. We had a fabulous time at the Watervillle Valley Resort. There was plenty of active outside activities for all of us to participate in. We rode bikes on trails and down the mountain, played golf, tennis, and soccer, paddled the pond, hiked on Cascade Trail, jumped... More

Stayed here with my husband and 4 children and my brother in law. From the minute we arrived up from Boston we felt at home. Greeted by charlie, a lovely lady, so helpful, nothing was too much bother. Our room was fabulous and spacious, plenty of room. We booked another room for my brother in law, that was no problem.... This is the second year that we have stayed at Black Bear Lodge for a hockey tournament. Last year, it was a great experience. This year, it was as if it had changed management. Kids had to have supervision in the knee hockey room or it could not be used. Not sure of that thinking, because if they don't contain... More

Words cannot express how absolutely accommodating the staff at the Black Bear Lodge in Waterville Valley was during a gathering of Eastern Star members for our International Weekend get away. There were nothing but rave reviews of how friendly the staff were. They were extremely helpful and went above and beyond our expectations. When the shuttle was running a little... More

Black Bear Lodge is nestled back in the Waterville Valley resort area and a GPS or good map helps to find it, but it is worth the effort. The suites are large and comfortable. The staff is very helpful, kind and courteous. It is a great place for a family to spend and week-end on a ski trip, or hiking... More

verynice place to stay not too fancy, but everything you need for a nice family weekend. We are a family of five and the bedroom with an additional twin and daybed plus the Murphy bed gave everyone their own space to sleep. We made our own food (which we brought) in the kitchen. Jugtown store has everything you need including... More

This was the first time my husband and I stayed in Waterville Valley, NH. We were awed at the lovely scenery, layout of the valley resorts and Towne Square. We stayed at the Black Bear Lodge in the Black Bear Suite. My what helpful, cheerful staff and so many amenities!! The lodge itself is in need of some modern upgrades... More
