My husband and I had a really great get-a-way in mid December at BBL. We stayed in room # 211 which was very warm and cozy and conveniently located off the lobby. It felt just like home. The front desk staff we met, Charlie & Chris were extremely courteous and friendly and very helpful. A new employee, Richie was a... More

We traveled here with a youth hockey team for a tournament, and it was the most magical little place and town! The rooms are so spacious and decorated beautiful! They have every thing you'd ever want in a condo, there was nothing we didn't have access to! Our condo was super spacious, clean and charming. The town is so cute... More

We spent Thanksgiving in our Deluxe Suite. We had ample room for sleeping 4 adults and one child. The main bedroom had a view of birch trees (and, if you looked down, the parking lot) and it was separated by a half wall, where there was a twin trundle bed. The living room had a murphy bed which accommodates 2... More

The front desk staff at the Hotel were wonderful. The people at the desk are very nice and helpful. However the 3 rooms we rented were very outdated, worn and in desperate need of a makeover. I understand that each unit is owned privately. It is very evident that some of the owners do not provide updates to their units.... More

We just came back from the Black Bear Lodge. I was very happy with our stay. The hotel had everything we were looking for: the swimming pool, the game room for the kids, and a shuttle to ski slopes. Our room was very nice. We were staying in a one bedroom suite. We had a spacious living room and a... More

The reception here was friendly and welcoming. As we made our way to our room we declined assistance (twice) but a gentleman insisted on taking us. That was a odd and slightly uncomfortable. Our room was in the basement which is dark and a bit of a maze. The room was quiet and had what we needed. The decor was... More

Greetings: First, thank you very much for allowing us to host your stay! My hopes are to have the "Friendliest Staff" in the Valley. The young man to whom you refer is new and simply overly eager to help and assist all our guests so I am sorry you got the wrong feeling from his enthusiasm. Our ground floor rooms... More

My husband and I rented two deluxe suites on the fourth floor of this lodge. We occupied one and our daughter and her family the other one. Our rooms were large and clean with a full kitchen, living/dining area and two bedrooms. Each unit could actually sleep six people including the Murphy bed. This lodge also has an indoor/outdoor pool... More

This was our first time in Waterville valley and we loved it. The condo we stayed in at black bear was room 303 and was well kept and had everything we needed. A nice open living room with kitchenette. The sofa was a pull out and there was a nice flat screen tv. Loved the high top dinner table. The... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. The Lodge is a Hotel condominium and is nicely located. A Freedom Pass was provided to us and it is good for free use of many of the area amenities such as the ice rink, olympic size pool. At the Lodge itself there is a small indoor/outdoor pool and a hot tub, sauna, game... More

Spent a weekend at Black Bear Lodge right before Thanksgiving. If you're looking for a good home base for some fall hiking, Black Bear is a great spot. It is located walking distance the small, but quiant Waterville Valley Town Center and a short drive from the mountain and the entrance to many trailheads in the White Mountain National Forest....
