This was our 6th visit to Carlson's Lodge from the UK. It is our favourite place to stay in New Hampshire. Our room (108) was spotless and spacious and has a fabulous view of the mountains. The location is a perfect base for exploring the White Mountains in particular the Franconia and Crawford Notch areas. A continental breakfast is included... More

WE, as well as members of our family most always stay at Carlson's (except when we occasionally splurge on the Mount Washington Resort---also Great), because of what we call the Four "C's"-- Clean, Convenient, Comfortable and Compatible with our requirements, wishes and price considerations( Whoops, another C). The staff, consisting mostly of Carlson family members, are as nice a group... More

We stayed in a spotless well designed room with a fully-stocked kitchenette. The rates are very reasonable for what they provide. Continental breakfast is included. The staff are outdoorsy themselves and can offer advice for any activity, winter and summer. I also love that they have a dog and a cat who greet guests.

This Lodge is a handy place to stay when hiking or doing any outdoor activities in the Twin Mountain/Bretton Woods area. The rooms are very clean and affordable. The owner is very welcoming and very happy to make recommendations about what to do and where to eat. The hotel is located only a 1/2 mile west of the four corners... More

We spent two pleasant nights at the lodge, which was clean, neat and comfortable and close to all of the people, places and things we wanted to see while in the White Mountains. The management and staff are very friendly and efficient and the rooms are perfect for our requirements and well within our price range. A very nice place... More

We have been staying at carlson's lodge for over 40 years! We started staying at carlson's before we had children. We went with a large group of friends, some of us skied and some of the others went snowmobiling. We have memories that will last a lifetime. The whole Carlson family is so special to us. We brought our children... More

We enjoyed our stay at Carlsons. It was comfortable and quiet. The owner put us at the end of the hall where it was quiet. Breakfast was minimal but ok. The owner recommended a great place for dinner, The Northern Embers.

We stayed here 3 nights in early October. We could not have been happier for making Carlson's Lodge our choice. We chose the end room upstairs with the kitchenette and everything was perfect. Carol, the owner, went out of her way to make us comfortable. A special thank you for the piece of birthday cake, complete with 2 candles, for... More

We were a little disappointed with our stay in the lodge. The room was clean and fit our needs ok, but it was not as nice as we expected. The lobby was a little dingy and old looking. The complimentary breakfast consisted of 3 kinds of cereal and peanut butter and bread. It was not served until 8:00, and we... More

We really liked staying here, we stayed a week and it was very clean and comfortable. The price is extremely reasonable and the facilities are good. I was disappointed with the inability to access wifi in my room but overall the stay was good.
