Where can I start? If you decide to get into the hospitality business, the first quality you need is friendliness! The owner (the husband) was very stand offish and very cold at best if not rude. Did not say hello unless you spoke to him. In fact he went out of his way to ignore us. One would think he... More

Johnson's Motel and Cottages is about 8 minutes from the Zealand Road, which we took to the Zealand trailhead to park for our backpacking trip. You couldn't be closer, unless you stayed at the Zealand campsite. We called several places in the area, which all sounded more or less the same, but it was Colleen (the owner/manager) who sold us... I had a pleasant one night stay. The rooms are very clean, quiet and comfortable. They are nothing fancy - just good, basic, budget accomodations. The wifi is spotty. They get several cable TV channels.

I've been coming to this motel for years. I'm of the opinion that when I go on vacation all I need is a clean room. Nothing fancy. This place satisfies all my needs and more. Why? There is an extra bonus...I can bring my dog with me. The staff is always so friendly. They always greet you with a bandana... More

This place is great especially if you have dogs. The owners are very nice and will go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. We had a camp fire out back and we got to use their outdoor grill to make our dinner on. The cabins are very clean and each one of them has it's... More

The Johnson Cabins are located in the White Mountains and just a short drive to many of the area attractions. Dogs are allowed in the cabins and there are trails to walk right on the property. I chose them because they are dog friendly and I was planning on hiking with my dog. The owners are very warm and accomodating.... More

From the outside Johnson's may not look like much but it is clean. The owners are super helpful and know the area well. Unfortunately, my cottage wasn't air conditioned. I don't if the others were air conditioned or not.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Ashley cottage with our dog. It was clean and cozy and the owners are so friendly! They even made our dog a scarf! It was in a great location. 20 minutes or less from main attractions, Littleton, Lincoln, and Crawford notch. We did a few waterfall hikes and pemi moose tours out of... More
