We return time and again to the wonderful Birchwood Inn, and always have a great time. Andrew and Nick, the owners ,make us feel so at home and like a part of the family. The Inn is cozy and comfortable. Downstairs you can have dinner, drinks and lots of laughs at the bar area...it's like being in an English pub!... More

My family and I loved it here! The room was lovely and loved the lounge too. It was great that you could eat here , so nobody has to drive to eat and not enjoy a drink at the same time! The Hosts Nick and Andrew were great fun and really friendly and although it was busy , always seemed... More

As stated in the previous reviews ,this inn is wonderful. The hosts ,Nick and Andrew, were friendly and attentive. The room was comfortable and charming, as was the entire inn. And the breakfasts were fantastic and made to order. Also the dinners served at the onsite pub are also great. If you are in this part of New Hampshire and... More

My husband and I just had a great stay at the Birchwood Inn. The inn is genuine and lovely and sits on a classic New England green. Breakfast is delicious: amazing french toast (eggy toast in England, apparently) and my husband loved his omelette and coffee (and he's particular about coffee). The owners made the stay complete; they are the... More

We stayed here recently for a wedding and found the place charming and comfortable. I generally prefer a more anonymous hotel experience but Nick and Andrew made me rethink the concept of the B&B. Everyone was really nice and friendly without being intrusive, the free breakfast was wonderful and we even had a tasty meal in the Tavern one evening.... More

We visited the Birchwood Inn (restaurant) in the past both prior to change of ownership and under current ownership. We will not return (given the apparent trend of decay). It's a shame - as this once was on our "local top 10" list. 1. Yes - the location is classic New England, historic and charming - albeit out of the... More

The title I stole from Nick, one of the owners of the Birchwood Inn. We stayed there while attending an opera and piano recital at the Monadnock Music Festival in nearby Peterborough NH. It was an absolutely charming experience. The owners are great hosts and both have a wonderful sense of humor. They are a treat just to converse with.... More

What a charming little B&B! Leave it to the English... It's beautifully located in a very quiet area (though the birds woke us up in the morning, I guess us city folks aren't used to the sounds of nature). Our host was delightful, and the room was very old fashioned and English. Breakfast was great (and there's nothing like some... More

Traveled to NH to visit the kids and The Birchwood Inn was down the street. What a great time we all had in the pub! Cold, snowy and dreary night out was erased by the warmth and good cheer from Nick and crew. Comfortable accomodations with a great breakfast the next morning. Thanks gang!
