Camped here last minute when the state park was full. Sites are close together with hardly any trees between you and your neighbors. Lots of seasonal RV's so you feel like you put up a tent in a trailer park. The family next to us was literally watching tv on their hardwood deck off of their RV. Super weird and... More

We had hoped for a nice swim at the advertised "beach area", but as it turns out, the water was ice cold and barely ankle deep, and that was in August. No swimming unless you are a fish. Also, like some of the other reviews above, we had some very noisy neighbors. We asked the owners for help, and then,... More

I do not mean bad rules, simply that they are enforced. Quiet time, parking are enforced by the golf cart patrol. Maybe other things as well? I didn't break any other rules :) Smaller sites, but more private. Still enough room to get big rigs in there. Now the bad... If you stay anywhere near the pavilion please be aware... More

We went for Memorial Weekend and stayed 2 nights. It was quite busy with most of the sites around us in use. There was one site next to us that had what appeared to be long-term campers. They had quite an array of strange items outside, including a bureau with no drawers? I was a little surprised that management allowed... More

Well cared for property with very clean bathrooms. Campsites are large with lovely trees for shade. Many sites are along the water. They also have an option to rent a camper, which is what we did, that they have set up for you when you arrive.

We recently rented an RV for the weekend. It was pretty dingy (damp mattresses from the humidity and shade, cigarette smoke smell in bathroom). We figured...ah, we are camping, do we were braced to sick it up for a few days. However, our first night I went in to the bathroom and almost slipped on the way in. The floor... More

We visited mid week site 16 and it was perfect. No one else around and a large well kept site (raked before we got there) right on the river. We had a blast tubing and enjoying the site. That being said - the playground is old but my son (5) seemed to like it. It also looks a little run... More

We stayed at Tamworth this past Columbus Day Weekend and had a very nice time. The campground staff was very friendly and helpful recommending fishing spots and things to do. We stated in site 61 with a 35ft trailer - the site was clean and the fire pits are big with cinder blocks on a concrete pad. The wooded lot... More

Stayed here mid-July. Loud till all hours. We had some other issues that would take too long to explain here but I went to the front desk and requested their help vs my having a run-in with our obnoxious neighbors, I was assured the issues would be dealt with. They never showed up to help and when I addressed it... More
