We have stayed at the Burkehaven 3 times now and have never had any issues. On our most recent stay my husband was injured skiing and Rick was very accommodating and moved another reservation to allow us a late check out (so my husband could stay in the room while the kids and I skied!). The rooms are always clean... More

Recently booked through booking.com and my family had a emergency at our home and we could not keep the reservation. Even though it was only a matter of hours between booking and cancellation. ...booking.com agreed to drop any fees though you owner refused to...even with a crisis for my family....booking.com great Burkehaven Lodge's owner very money hungry individual..

We stayed in the two bedroom family suite, so I can't speak to what the regular rooms are like, but the suite was beautiful and spacious! Everything was clean and well maintained. We had the pool to ourselves and the views are beautiful. But the reason I am writing a review is the service we received AFTER we left. A... More

A nice clean motel with a nice simple breakfast and a heated pool. The second year I have stayed and it was again a pleasant experience. This motel is out of the way with no traffic or road noise, high above Lake Sunapee.

Stayed for a couple of nights in July, and had a pleasant time. As others have noted, most of the rooms do not have A/C; for us not an issue as the evenings were pleasantly cool. Really enjoyed the heated pool - which we basically had to ourselves. Room was clean, and showed attention to detail. The continental breakfast was... More

I recently came across this place when searching for a stop for the evening. The King suite room we rented for one night was comfortable and reasonably appointed with a soft bed, mini kitchenette and small flat screen tv. The bathroom Has a tiny shower and sink which were fine and beautifully cleaned. The only issue is the thin walls... More

This hotel is awful. I won't go into everything since other reviews have. However, after a weird one night stay my 10 year old went to throw something away when we were outside. The only trash can we could find was on the owners porch. He chased my son , hollered and swore at us as we left and did... More

going to one of the roadside motels that dotted America prior to the chain onslaught. First know what you are getting- a very clean 1950's notes. No phone in room- but with WIFIT and good Verizon mobile reception who cares. Very clean- and solid price- but most important Sunappe lift tickets at 50% off- we paid $ 36 a lift... More

We probably had the best room in the place for viewing Mt. Sunapee. After a day of skiing, it was a nice quiet place to relax. Continental breakfast was convenient and tasty. We will return. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful (we had to call fro directions).

Quiet convenient accommodations near Sunapee skiing and water sports! Clean, private and comfortable. Comfortable beds. Great price and the owner/operator, who is a very nice man, got us lift tickets for 36$ each-about half price, so we stayed a few extra nights. (Anyone who skis/rides knows the lift tickets can be very expensive. I believe they're 90$ at killington)
