My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this Inn! The place has tons of character and dinner was excellent! The staff was incredibly helpful and just a pleasure to deal with! We would definitely stay there again and hope to do so again soon. more

As a " variety is the spice of life" kind of person, we decided to try a different Bed and Breakfast than the one we had come to love in the Franconia Area. The website of the Sunset Hill B&B looked wonderful, and in fact, we had even peeked inside once. Unfortunately the pictures on their website are outdated and... more

My son and I stayed for 3 nights and truly enjoyed our stay at the Sunset Hill House. It proved to be the perfect centralized location to explore several local attractions. We found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and often going out of their way to insure that we had a pleasant experience. I have read some of... more

Went for a wedding in early summer. The inn is dated and needs lots of updating. The linens are scratchy, the hot tub in our room looked questionable and the bathroom was tiny and worn out (rust stains in the sink, no water pressure, etc.) Went for a close friend's wedding and the outdoor space is beautiful except for the... more

If you are in need of some true R&R I don't believe you can do any better than a stay at Sunset Hill House. Nestled atop Sugar Hill you have tremendous mountain views surrounding the Inn and golf course. The accomodations are cozy, comfortable, thoughtfully decorated and the housekeeping staff keeps everthing impeccably clean. The food was great and a... more

My wife and I and our 12-year old son just got back from three nights at the inn. Before we arrived, I made the mistake of reading several of the postings here and was a little nervous because of some of the scathing reviews. I am glad we didn't back out based on the reviews. What a wonderful place! The... more

I have stayed at Sunset Hill House twice (once because my wife and I love NH Inns and once because after we stayed at SSH we decided to get married there.) I am in awe, actually offended, because of some of these reviews. I cannot understand how someone could complain. I can understand that someone could be unhappy, certain people... more

We stayed at the Sunset Hill House last week-end where we hosted a family dinner for 11. The dinner and our stay exceeded our exceeded our expectations (and we're very experienced inn stayers). Innkeeper Nancy recommended the small private dining room (at no extra charge). The room had a large round table, 3 windows that easily opened all the way,... more

I received an email from Sunset Hill House in New Hampshire with a stunning photo of Lupines in bloom with Franconia Notch gracing the background. I have been in NH numerous times for the Fall Foliage Season, but had not known about the Lupine fields in June. This is NH's definate "second" foliage season! The fields along Rt 117 and... more

Truly a gorgeous setting at the top of a hill overlooking mountains. The lupines were in bloom, which provided a colorful backdrop for wandering around the area. Breakfast while enjoying the White Mountains really set the tone for the day. Good food, attentive servers, scenery that wouldn't quit. The rooms were comfortable and very quiet and the staff exceptionally helpful. more
