Once again John and Nancy provided top shelf hospitality. the property has amazing views, and they are just the most wonderful hosts. From wine, cheese and crackers in the afternoon/evening to what we have found to be the best breakfasts. It is our "go to" for the foliage season in NH. I only wish we could stop by for breakfast... We have just left the Victorian on Sunset Hill and are missing it already! In practical terms it ticks all the boxes, the location is truly stunning, the property is beautiful, the rooms are perfectly appointed with glorious views, the breakfasts are sumptuous and it is well located for Franconia and all activities in the White Mountains. You do have... More

OK, I admit it; sometimes when we are surprised by extraordinary features or service I tend to appreciate it a lot. So I wrote about it with a review back in the spring. However, sometimes those experiences turn out to be unusual even for the venue-- perhaps they surprised themselves. So the second time is often a let down. Not... More

My husband and I stayed at the Victorian earlier this year and were impressed by the beautiful views and the warmth of the innkeepers. Last weekend's visit was no different. John and Nancy greeted us with such enthusiasm--opening their home and tending to our needs is their pleasure. Later, wrapped in blankets, we enjoyed a glass of wine with crackers... More

The Victorian is a relatively recently restored large three-story home that has been converted into a B&B. It has five large rooms that are all very tastefully decorated and which have views of either the Presidential range and Franconia Notch to the east or the Green Mountains to the west. The common areas are very inviting and comfortable and the... More

My wife and I often take long weekends to motorcycle tour in northern NE. This was a 625 mile trip that was made special by the innkeepers, John and Nancy. The inn/home is completely restored. John is a retired builder with an extraordinary gift of hospitality. "Attentive" doesn't come close to capturing his degree of his service. Wine (nice wine)... More

Why I wrote the headline is because I used to live in the area and came back for a visit with my boyfriend. I know the B&Bs around and wanted to test the VICTORIAN. Nancy and John are FRIENDLY, RESPONSIVE, CARING, INTERESTED and so very PLEASANT to be with. We LOVED John's Breakfast and he sure loves to make it... More

We stayed here in mid October for four nights. We were warmly welcomed by John and Nancy and shown our wonderful accommodation - the Sunrise Green suite. This was extremely comfortable and beautifully furnished. The suite has superb mountain views and we witnessed some magnificent sunrises which gradually emerged from the morning mists. Breakfasts. Well just to say superb would... More

After our first visit two years ago, we decided to reacquaint ourselves with this beautiful inn. Every room is stunning, and the next time we go, we want to try a different room. Innkeepers, John and Nancy are very hospitable and offered to help in any way they could with ideas of things to do, places to eat, reservations, etc.... More

My wife and I stayed at the Inn for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Like a lot of people who will read this review, I have traveled extensively around the World. Both for my job and for vacation. I have traveled to over 40 countries on six continents (everything from a $20 a night hostel in eastern Europe... More
