My wife and I often take long weekends to motorcycle tour in northern NE. This was a 625 mile trip that was made special by the innkeepers, John and Nancy. The inn/home is completely restored. John is a retired builder with an extraordinary gift of hospitality. "Attentive" doesn't come close to capturing his degree of his service. Wine (nice wine)... More

Why I wrote the headline is because I used to live in the area and came back for a visit with my boyfriend. I know the B&Bs around and wanted to test the VICTORIAN. Nancy and John are FRIENDLY, RESPONSIVE, CARING, INTERESTED and so very PLEASANT to be with. We LOVED John's Breakfast and he sure loves to make it... More

We stayed here in mid October for four nights. We were warmly welcomed by John and Nancy and shown our wonderful accommodation - the Sunrise Green suite. This was extremely comfortable and beautifully furnished. The suite has superb mountain views and we witnessed some magnificent sunrises which gradually emerged from the morning mists. Breakfasts. Well just to say superb would... More

After our first visit two years ago, we decided to reacquaint ourselves with this beautiful inn. Every room is stunning, and the next time we go, we want to try a different room. Innkeepers, John and Nancy are very hospitable and offered to help in any way they could with ideas of things to do, places to eat, reservations, etc.... More

My wife and I stayed at the Inn for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Like a lot of people who will read this review, I have traveled extensively around the World. Both for my job and for vacation. I have traveled to over 40 countries on six continents (everything from a $20 a night hostel in eastern Europe... More

I would like to give a "huge" thank you to John and Nancy. Because of them, my dream wedding came true. They are, by far, the most gracious, giving hosts you could ever hope to meet. From the day they agreed to host my wedding to the day after the wedding, they were accomodating to the fullest. John makes the... More

We stayed here for one night only after checking out of a truly disastrous place nearby. We have stayed in some of the finest hotels in the world, small and large, but I can truly say that our night here at the Victorian was exceptional and special in every way. Our experience was similar to all the others posted on... More

My husband and I stayed at John's and Nancy's small hotel for two nights. The house is beautiful, the hosts are lovely, the beds comfortable and the breakfast that John prepared for us was amazing...and they have butterfly shaped crackers. It just shows how much they care about the little things that make their hotel special. We would definitely stay... More

When John and Nancy Bonenfant decided to open a bed and breakfast, they approached the task with the same vigilance that John approaches cooking. Taste (by visiting B&B's) and perfect, taste and perfect. The result is my idea of the perfect B&B. Some B&B's are in beautiful locations and design an interior that combines comfort and elegance, intermingling the best... More

My husband and I have just spent a wonderful weekend at the Victorian Inn at Sunset Hill. We have stayed several times in this area in other nice accommodations, but, of them all, I would have to rate the Victorian Inn at Sunset Hill the highest by far. First of all, its setting is incredibly superior; it is as advertised!... More
