We share other reviewer's enthusiasm for this lovely place, however we would not recommend the Richardson suite if people are staying in the room above, as the bathroom pipes from above reside in the walls almost adjacent to the head of the Richardson bed. We had late night water music and much early morning flushing and ablutions. Dinner was excellent... More

From the tranquil location in New Hampshire's White Mountains and the enchanting Victorian rooms (with free wi-fi!), to the delicious home-cooked breakfast, this was a wonderful experience! Highly recommended; we can't wait to come back!

We celebrated the 4th of July at The Hilltop Inn over the long weekend. The owners Meri and Mike were very welcoming and made us aware of the opportunities to participate in many down home community events including a 4th of July potluck supper, parade, flea market & duck race. Being able to travel with my dog, Quincy, made the... More

Very accommodating for dog lovers. Doggie guests have full run of the house and are invited on furniture and allowed to stay in the house even when you are gone. Owner's two medium size dogs can be unruly. I would not stay here with small children. Grounds are nice and don't miss trails in back of house which provide a... More

Shhhh! Don't tell non-nice people! Meri and Mike have the most awesome New England B&B for people that have dogs, or love gorgeous rambling old refurbished historical buildings, or like convivial conversation by a woodstove, or love watching birds feeding on the porch. Oh, also, don't let on what fantastic hosts Meri and Mike are. Except nice people! You can... More

I stayed at the Hilltop this past Saturday night with my girlfriend and our yellow lab after a day of hiking in Franconia Notch. Meri and Mike were incredible hosts. They are among the most welcoming, hospitable, and friendly folks I've ever met. The Inn is quintessential New England. There was a warm woodstove in the living room, beautiful wood... More

Wanted to plan a long weekend getaway as a birthday treat, so we took a trip to the mountains and stayed at the Hilltop Inn. We were not disappointed and had a great time! Mike and Meri are fabulous hosts who know the area inside and out. We hiked one day and then relaxed at the inn that evening. The... More

From the dogs to the fire to the wine, and not to mention the hosts, this is by far the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Meri and Mike will make you feel like family, and you'll leave being an honorary member and wanting to book your return. The area is beautiful, relaxing and charming. Perfect if you want... More

My wife and I had never stayed at a B&B so we didn't know what to expect. We were extremely happy we chose to stay at the Hill Top Inn. Mike and Merinot only made us feel welcomed but also made us feel like family. We plan on returning in June for another weekend getaway.
