We took our church group to the Hampshire Inn. The staff were very accommodating ahead of time as well as during our stay. They gave us a really affordable rate so that our whole group could afford to join us. The rooms were spacious and clean and our group space met our needs. Very nice free breakfast as well. We... HUGE room with 2 Queen beds, kitchenette with micro, fridge. Twice the size of a conventional motel room. Great location to explore New England. Half-hour drive to Portsmouth, Salem, Ipswich, beaches. If you're on a budget, there are 2 grocery stores nearby; with minimal effort you could make dinner in the room, pack a picnic lunch, and enjoy the slightly-better-than-average... More

We checked in on March 18 and checked out March 22, 2015. Wireless internet did not work at all during our stay. They said that it was being fixed. Our bed was made once during our stay. Our carpet was not vacuumed at all. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Our garbage was never emptied during our stay. Ceramic tiles on... More

The other reviews were sketchy and inconsistent, so I wanted to check out this hotel myself. I got a suite with jacuzzi bathtub and micro/fridge. If it wasn't snowing so bad, I probably would have left earlier. This is a very old and worn hotel. I did not like the bloody red curtains. The mattress was thin and frail! I... More

we decided to spend the New Year close to home, not driving and enjoy our one hundred guest casually @ the New Years Beach Party here. The food was good and the casual atmosphere was a change from prior years. We met a lot of friendly people who also opt to stay off the roads. The evening was all that... More

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks with my wife and two young boys. The rooms are not great, but they are pretty cheap. We had a room off the lobby, which was quite loud at all hours, usually due to the hotel staff conversing loudly in the lobby and hallways. The room was adequate, but not modern or... More

We stopped here on our way to Florida. After driving for the last 12 hours we just wanted a decent place to lay our heads down till we hit the road again and this place delivered just that. The lobby was well lit and inviting, the clerk at check in was friendly. Our room was large and clean. The bed... More

I'm sure this was a nice hotel 30 years ago. If I were driving in a snow storm and needed a cheap place to stay until it was safe to drive, this would work. But this place has had little to no maintenance in years. Pulling up the exterior clearly was in need of a paint job. Inside the hallways... More

Don't do it! If you are desperate and can't afford something more, then expect the worst! The only good thing in our room was that the carpet looked fairly new. The couch was so gross, my husband asked for a spare sheet so we could cover it. Toilet had not been cleaned in a while. I dropped a wash cloth... More

We paid less than we've been paying for other rooms on this 10-day trip through the Eastern U.S. Yet, our room was larger, cleaner and felt more luxurious than any of the others. Wow! My wife and I said last night we wished we could have stayed here all 10 nights and then just done day trips out from here.
