Our stay was a stopover on our way to North Conway. We stayed in the Sanborn room which was nicely furnished and has a gas firelog in the fireplace which was a plus. The negative from the fireplace is the voices that came from the central fireplace in the restaurant downstairs. Since they stop at 9PM it is not a... More

We stayed 2 nights in The Whittier Room. The room was warm and inviting and allowed us to catch up on rest and each others company. The Inn was quiet and cozy, a nice place to stay during a wintry weekend in January. We ate breakfast and two dinners at the restaurant and each time the food was delicious. We... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights in Aug 2015. In summary - great service and clean rooms. The Inn only has 6 rooms which are not ultra-luxurious, but for the price, we were very happy with our stay. We couldn't speak more highly for the new ownership (2 years now); they seem dedicated and eager to please their guests.... More

Our stay at the Wakefield Inn was just what we needed. New Hampshire hospitality at it's best with the charm of a New England Inn.The Nicastro family makes you feel like you are part of their family, loving, warm and caring. The company of friends, great food and wine and lots of fun and laughter made this a wonderful getaway.... More

We vacation close by the Wakefield Inn. We've enjoyed dinners at the Inn through several owners but the current Innkeepers and chef are the best. The surroundings are lovely. The decor is classic but comfortable with linen napkins!! The food is reasonably priced and good! In fact we are heading back there is evening!

Fun evening with good friends but service very very slow in a very small room. A martini came that was not a martini. The food was average but reasonably priced. We would certainly not be in a hurry to return.

We arrived late and the innkeeper was waiting up for us--a pleasant surprise. The room was small, as we knew when we made the reservation--but the bathroom was literally a converted closet. Shower stall only as deep as a closet. However, the bed was wonderful and the atmosphere very inviting. Breakfast overlooking the garden with birds, chipmunks and flowers was... More

My wife and I stopped for dinner last Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised by the warm atmosphere, the friendly and prompt service and especially the food. Chef Christina Nicastro may be young, but she can really do a fine job with the food. The quality and quantity were fine, and the presentation was terrific. One of the best country... More

I really cannot say enough good things about this place. The service is always perfect. The food is scrumptious with a staple menu and an ever changing list of specials. Dinner here is always a highlight of my week. I consider myself very lucky to live just a couple of towns away.
