We booked a no smoking room but instead we got a stinky room with an ashtray. This is a motel not a hotel. We only spent one night on our way to Maine but we will not do that again. The service people were nice but could not help much. Pool was a bit green. Breakfast had mostly cereal but... More

We stayed 2 years ago and loved this place. There was a manager named Mike, an assistant Manager named Angie and maintenanace man Ray. There all gone!! All we were told is we changed ownership and there no longer here. All I can say is what a shame!!! The accomodations are dirty, poor lighting, poor plumbiing, the pool wasn't even... More

Stayed for 1 night on our way back from Acadia National Park. Came late night of July 3rd, were watching fireworks while driving through MA and NH towns :) In the morning discovered the beauty of the grounds ;) our dog was happy too. Unfortunately we had no chance to use their outdoor pool, but I could imagine it'd be... More

We stayed at the Anchorage Inn for one night while visiting family. Overall reasonable accommodations. Our room was clean and comfortable--a good value for the price we paid. Breakfast options were fine. There were some odd issues, though the friendly staff quickly remedied them. They had no record of our reservation, even though I'd made it through their website and... We came to stay for a wedding. The accomodations are very tight, not clean, poor lighting, poor plumbiing. It is an old hotel, definitely not worth the money. The website portrays it nicer than it is. The breakfast optins are poor compared to others. People were noisy late at night, in which we had to speak to them. It definitely... More

My husband and I found ourselves in the unenviable position of having to travel from our home to the White Mountain area due to a family emergency. After having stayed at the Portsmouth location many times, we found that they were sold out. Tom on the desk recommended the Rochester location and gave us great directions. Upon arriving, Mike Barnhard... More

My wife, myself, and our 3 children stayed here for 3 nights. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has a great feel to it...the pool is wonderful and has plenty of umbrellas for shade if needed. There is a BBQ grill on site along with a great area that children can run and play in. We used... More

A mixed experience. When we checked in at 4 p.m. (check in starts at 3 p.m.) we arrived in our room and found out it was a smoking room, despite the fact the we had requested non-smoking. My 3 year old clearly described it as “stinky”. I called the front desk, and the clerk who answered was very friendly and... More
