We chose Pine Acres for tent camping because it was more cost effective than the nearby Pawtuckaway State Park campground. While the "RV Park" environment is not what I like, I was expecting that and that's not the reason for the poor rating. From what I could tell, all sites had water at them, and most had electrical hookups. This... More

I agree with eveeryone about the teenagers and the golf carts and I spoke to Daryl and Troy about it this summer. I also agree about quiet time and rules being followed. Teenagers are too loud and reckless on golf carts in the middle of the night. I can see where it would bother someone camping with small children. Some... More

We went to this campground and I could not believe the golf carts running back and forth! It was awful kept going until 2am in the morning. Quiet hours were at 11pm, but of course golf carts and people partying all night. Next day the same thing, which we ended up leaving earlier then we reserved. I have two kids... More

Returned to Pine Acres after camping there several years ago. Wow has it changed! Was not told the campground is owned by the bank until we were checking in. That is probably the reason why there is limited staff who does not patrol/secure the area at all. Young teens are riding around recklessly in golf carts at all hours of... More

I was hesistant about camping here...scared even. I heard it was a party place, loud and I figured I would hate it. My reservation included weekday and weekend days. However, I went in with an open mind. My site was amazing! It was on the water, near the Pavilion/bathrooms, beach and was very big. I'm a life-long camper and this... More

We spent a week at the campground with our two young children. We had a great reception by the staff at the front desk, and after getting a bit lost, found our site down by the river, which was spacious and had a great view; a wonderful site for fishing. For the most part, we liked the campground, the food... More

I have been searching for a campground that I can do some seasonal camping. Well, I have to say from the minute I walked into the office and dealt with the staff @ Pine Acres I was so impressed. Everyone seemed so upbeat and happy!!!! To Daryl, Troy and the rest of the staff what can I say, other than... More

Gave it a try after seeing some good recent reviews. Office staff was extremely accommodating of our family needing 4 sites together with W/E/S. New bathrooms were extremely clean. Really liked the paved roads. Activities were fabulous, kids loved loved loved them! The only two downsides were the absence of a pool as well as the amount of traffic (both... More

It's my first time camping, so I'll help by describing what I saw. I really liked the experience because it was somewhat "the land of nobody" and we had lots of fun, but it's the same reason why most people won't like it, so If you are looking for a quiet, super safe and rules to be observed, kind of...
