My husband and I had a very nice stay at the Sise Inn this past winter. The rooms are cozy and clean and the staff is pleasant. It's not quite a hotel, not quite a b&b, so you get the charm and homey feel of a b&b, but the privacy and continental breakfast of a hotel (the continental breakfast was... more

My fiance and I did a weekend overnight in Portsmouth and stayed at the Sise Inn. It was our first stay, and we were pleasantly suprised. We stayed in the Carriage House, which is separate from the main inn, but just a few steps from the entrance. We had a jacuzzi tub and sauna in our room. It was older,... more

My wife and I have been staying at The Sise Inn for almost 10 years, including more than 15 stays. We have invariably had great service, a great room, and a wonderful time. And now with our active preschooler, the Inn has been a great place for families, too. The rooms vary in size, from simple studio layouts, to larger... more

Although we only live an hour away, we stayed there during a snowstorm 14 years ago and returned on a recent Saturday night after attending a holiday concert in Portsmouth and not wanting to drive home that night. I had not read the Trip Advisor reviews until after our stay and quite frankly I was surprised to read the many... more

I made a reservation at the Sise Inn after reading the 4-star review in the AAA guide book. The reservation had to be confirmed with a credit card. Upon arrival, we asked to examine the room. We were shocked to discover the window mounted air conditioner was broken and the temperature had to be 100+ degrees in the room. It... more

This Inn does not deliver for the price particularly when there are so many wonderful bed and breakfasts in the Portsmouth area. We specifically requested a nonsmoking room but were put in one that clearly had been occupied by a smoker. We were informed that it was fumigated but it sure didn't smell like it. To their credit, they did... more

This is a charming inn in the city, just a few blocks from all of the historic sights, restaurants, and shopping areas. Each room is unique and comfortable with a "shabby chic" decor. My room had a queen-sized bed, a drop-leaf table, wing-back chair and a side chair of the dining room variety. The armoir held a modest size TV... more

Charming little Inn in downtown Portsmouth. Quaint and old fashioned but nice. Rooms are small but comfortable, and staff is helpful even at midnight! A unique experince, great for people bored with cookie-cutter chain hotels. more

My husband and I stayed at the Sise Inn at the end of September for a friend's wedding nearby. We were dumbstruck by the poor experience we had: - The staff could use an attitude adjustment, as we arrived at the Inn 15 minutes prior to check-in time and were sternly told, "They'd have to check if the room was... more

I went to a wedding in August 2006 in Portsmouth, NH, and booked the Sise Inn for our 3 night acomodations. I have to say that upon arrival, walking into the Inn can be a bit interesting. The floors tend to be dirty, items can be dusty and the wall paper in the main reception area where the desk is... more
