My husband and I celebrated our anniversary this weekend and at the advice fo some friends who stayed in the Prescott Park Suite, we decided to look at the suites here. We booked the Strawbery Banke Suite for one night(11/21). It was GORGEOUS! I have to admit though, to find a room like this in a hotel like that was... more

We stayed at the Anchorage for several nights with extended family. I would recommend this hotel for travelers who need a place for just one night, those who have a car and won't be at the hotel much, and if you can get a good rate. The good things: The hotel is literally just off the highway, so very easy... more

We stayed here for three nights whilst travelling through the States and arrived on the bus ($8 cab ride from the town centre to the hotel). The staff were incredibly friendly and nice especially Tom. Average decor but very clean with a fridge and microwave in the room. We were able to walk into town though it took around 30... more

First time staying in Portsmouth to visit our daughter. Hotel was very nice. Rooms clean. We had a very decent sized room with 2 queen beds. Many folks used the pool and jacuzzi. I am writing this at the hotel's computer in the lobby. Rooms also have wifi. Continental breakfast was as advertised, some muffins, coffee, OJ, cereal. Only negative-... more

My wife and I stayed at the Anchorage Inn for one night (8/17) during a tour of New England. It was a very pleasant stay. The entire place (room, hallways, lobby, pool, breakfast area) had the appearance of being maybe a year or two old. Everything had that new, clean look and feel. The room was attractively decorated and the... more

The recent renovations to the hotel are beautiful. The rooms are even brighter and more cheery than before. The friendly staff, continental breakfast, pool and jacuzzi made for another wonderful stay. Will I return--absolutely! more

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away for the weekend and this was the perfect little retreat. I love how close you are to down town and the Kittery Outlets. The hotel was beautiful and I especially enjoyed the newly remodeled jacuzzi. more

We have been staying at the Anchorage Inn, in Portsmouth for the past 16 years. We travel from Connecticut to Portsmouth on an average of once every 6 to 7 weeks. We have never found another hotel to be as accommodating as the Anchorage Inn is. Most all the rooms have been completely remodeled, and are sparkling clean. The hotel... more

We stayed here overnight to do some shopping in the area. The room was in good condition with the updates. We were very happy with the service upon arrival at the front desk the young man was very helpful checking us in early and telling us directions to do our shopping. The housekeeping for the most part was ok but... more
