This is a well-maintained and run motel in a good location near to the interstate and also within easy reach of downtown Portsmouth. The rooms are well-furnished and clean and the front desk staff are very helpful. Breakfast is limited but adequate and because of lack of space you may end up eating it in your room. Finally, if heading... More

Staff was gracious and welcoming. Room was comfortable and very homey. Great place to stay and would return again. Pictures are very accurate as to how beautiful the inn is. Great continental breakfast also..

Our family of five stayed for 5 days at The Port Inn. I have to say as someone who travels a lot, that this was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've seen! We booked the family suite, room 117. It was two rooms (3 double beds) with a connecting bath. Fridge, microwave were a plus. Even though it is... More

We had a stopover in Portsmouth, NH on our way to Maine and we decided to stay at the Port Inn based on reviews on line. When I called for reservations, they were extremely polite. And upon arriving, we got lost. I called once again for directions and they stayed on the line with me giving me turn by turn... More

Stayed here on our way down to Cape Cod. Absolutely loved it. The room, although a bit small, was still very comfortable and charming. The bathroom was very nice with a granite countertop and updated fixtures. The decor was a blend between a Mom & Pop motel and New England cottage - and it works! The pool was lovely and... More

We spent two nights at The Port Inn. It was a good value and the room was quiet and clean. My only small complaint was that the room was a little cramped with the two beds in it. However, all the amenities in the room (frig, microwave, cable TV, wireless or DSL Internet) made that a mute point. The staff... More

The Port Inn is a motel-type inn with great value and simple luxuries. We stayed during the July 4th holiday weekend and paid less than $100/nt for a standard room (not incl. tax w/ AAA discount). Not only did the price beat many of its neigbors nearby the Route 1 Bypass Circle (Fairfield, Comfort, Meadowbrook, Holiday, Best Western, etc.) but... More

I stayed at the Port Inn on June 24th, 2006. It was every bit as wonderful as all the comments made on the Tripadvisor. It was extremely clean and well furnished. The bathroom was large and immaculate. The staff were very cordial and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the lovely town of Portsmouth. I... More

We were in Portsmouth for a family wedding with much coming and going to and from events. Easy access to major roads and close proximity to Portsmouth without being in the middle of it all were a definite plus. Our rooms were in the front but I didn't notice any traffic noise (as mentioned in other reviews). And even though... More

Speaking as a previous sales manager for a very high end, historic hotel in downtown Boston, I could not have been more delighted with The Port Inn. When the motel we had originally scheduled for our weekend in NH lost our reservation, we saw The Port Inn, thought it was incredibly picturesque, and popped in. There was one room available... More
