We spent two days in Portsmouth at the Inn. Because of weather, we passed up Bar Harbour and happened upon the Inn. We were warmly greeted and given tips by the gentleman at the desk. We would not have known downtown was walking distance, nor would we have know the history if it hadn't been for the front desk person.... More

For $180 I thought we'd get a room a little more luxurious than a standard room. Wrong! The room was average. A nice big bathroom though and clean. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable. Bring your own if possible. Nice continental breakfast. Heated outdoor pool though I didn't go in except for my feet. The staff was friendly and courteous.... More

I chose this hotel because I had enough qualifying points with Chioce hotels. When you see this hotel from the road it looks like a typical roadside mote. When you enter it surpasses all expectations. The king room was large, super clea , very comfortable, very well lit and had nice amenities. The staff were all friendly, attentive and helpful.... Very close to I95 and a mile or so from downtown Portsmouth, this was an ideal stop off en route to the White Mountains. Arriving late and tired we received a very warm welcome and the same was true at breakfast the following morning. Food on offer was good and exceeded my expectations. Price paid was expensive but may reflect... More

Arrived after a 7 hour drive, to a cute-looking motel. Didn't expect the very nice, updated decor in the lobby. The front desk young man was very friendly and helpful with directions to town and recommendations. I had a king room in the front corner of the building. Was not bothered by any noise. Loved the convenience of parking right... More

My family spent a night here on our way to Bar Harbor Maine. We were greeted very warmly and given many options for restaurants and activities going on in the area. The room was clean with soft, fluffy towels and bedding. Yes, the rooms are small, but very nice. The breakfast was great and there were lots of options. My... More

The room was not worth $220.00. Average motel, at best. I am surprised it is ranked #5 in Portsmouth. I guess I expect more for that rate. I always check TripAdvisor before booking. The location is convenient if you're on a road trip, and it is close to Downtown Portsmouth, so I suppose they use that to justify the rates.

We stayed at The Port Inn because our son and future DIL had booked a block of rooms for wedding guests. A discounted rate was offered for all wedding guests. We booked 2 rooms--several months ahead and were told that we were given a 10% discount, rather than the promised 15%. We questioned the rate and were told that was... More

Situated just off the freeway on the outskirts of Portsmouth, this is a good base if you are driving everywhere. It's a 10 minute drive to downtown Portsmouth. With free parking in front of your room, moving in and out is a breeze. The bed and pillows were just okay as were the shower and towels but the toiletries were... More

Stayed with a group of friends for a long weekend of exploring the seacoast area. Rooms are clean and and appear to have been updated recently. The complimentary breakfast was remarkable. Set up like a buffet breakfast in a restaurant. Hot and cold items, as well as fruit and juices. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Our room was in... More
