The staff, service and rooms were all excellent. Rooms are nice and clean and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend The Port Inn for anyone looking for a convenient place to stay; just two minutes from downtown Portsmouth.

We had a suite and felt very comfortable & cozy. Very good hot & cold breakfast. The staff are welcoming and helpful. It is a 5 minute drive to downtown Portsmouth and a quick access to Kittery outlets.

Stayed here just one night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Spent time with a map showing us the way into Portsmouth either by car or walking (about 15 minutes walk). The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with parking available directly outside. Good bathroom. Breakfast was okay, continental, which is usual for motels these days. Our first time... More

Good room, nicely kept property. Close to city center (but not walking distance). Breakfast nice, especially because it was clear they cared about it. Lovely to sit outside and eat it. Very friendly people. Decent price/quality.

I was skeptical of staying at a remodeled motel, but after the good reviews on Trip Advisor decided to chance it. There were some positives- pleasant staff, good location, parking outside the room, large and remodeled bathroom, microwave and fridge in room. The breakfast selection was okay for a continental breakfast, but my breakfast sandwich was barely lukewarm. The eating... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our property, and especially the kind comments concerning the friendly staff. Our staff does pride itself on being friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local area. Please accept my apologies for the condition of the carpet and the odor you encountered in the guestroom. These carpets, though only 8... More

Checked in and told we were upgraded without charge! Wanted us to have a more comfortable stay because there were 3 of us and there was a bigger room available. Very clean, super friendly staff, and very we'll maintained property close to everything. Will definitely stay here next time.

The staff were very cheery and welcoming. We had a pleasant stay with no issues whatsoever. We had a room in the front and could park our car conveniently outside. (Some rooms are beneath with access at the back as the ground is sloping and another section is deeper into the property behind reception Our room was typical motel style... More

We were recommended this motel by the chamber of commerce and were given a special rate. On check in I think we were given the worst room. It was in a unit that needed updating close to the road . I didnt realise till breakfast that theres an area at the back thats more modern and would have been quieter.... More

We stayed here last year and 2 years ago. It's our preferred place for visits to relatives in the area. We'd reiterate the reviews below - great beds, rooms, buffet breakfast and staff, and a super location for travellers. Since we were here last the lobby and breakfast room have been redecorated. It's now in a sort of posh New... More

There is no getting around the fact that this is a motel, but it is clean, comfortable, just off I-95 and near downtown/historic Portsmouth. I didn't hear the traffic. The usual amenities plus pool. An effort is made with the buffet/continental breakfast. Polite staff. I've stayed there twice (overnight only) and will do so again.
