This inn lives up to the photos. Quiet comfortable room with a delicious spread in the morning. I wished we could have stayed more than one night. We hope to come back during another season. It's great to have a place I can heartily recommend to my friends.

From booking to check out, this place was fantastic! Very relaxed and cozy environment, guests can even check themselves in! Our room was perfect for our one night stay with two small children, they even included a rollaway bed for our six year old daughter. Breakfast was delicious and hot, cooked by Michael and we chatted with other guests while... More

This place was perfect. We took the Cafe Lafayette dinner train and then planned to stay in the area that night. The Wilderness Inn was just lovely. The owners were so very nice and friendly. We stayed in the Caribbean Cottage which was separate from the house. It had a fire place and a jacuzzi in the room. There was... More

Dear guests, Thank you for spending time in the White Mountains having dinner on the dinner train and enjoying the privacy of our cottage. Regardless of the weather, it truly is a "getaway!" More

This was a lovely, cozy and comfy inn. We arrived after a cold day hiking the Kinsmans. We were greeted in the parking lot by the owner and given a tour of the inn and the rooms. After helping ourselves to complimentary brownies (YUM) and coffee/tea, we went to our room. Our room, the Australian suite, had a beautiful 4-poster... More

We really enjoyed our stay in the French room, with a very nice bath tub/Jacuzzi. Breakfast was very very good. What we particularly like about the Wilderness Inn was it's location. Lots to do in the nearby area, and within easy walking distance of North Woodstock with it's bars, restaurants and shops.

Dear Guests, Thank you for your review and for mentioning our great location. We are indeed ideally located in a residential area just one block south of the village as well as within 5 to 45 minutes of the wonderful natural attractions the White Mountains have to offer. I am glad you enjoyed the French room as well as our... More

This is a charming place with friendly and engaging hosts and, in most respects truly deserves the positive reviews that it has received from previous guests. The breakfast was excellent and everything clean and well-maintained. We would, however, echo Moira W's comments on the lack of space in the bedrooms. In the middle of a touring holiday, we did struggle... More

Dear Guests, Thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed our "excellent" breakfast and thanks for mentioning that our inn is "clean and well-maintained." The inn, having been built just over 100 years ago as a private home, has rooms of varying sizes. Although all our rooms have private baths, we do have two small rooms, our New... More

We stayed for two nights in October and had a fantastic time. Rosanna and Michael were really welcoming and friendly and very informative about the local area, they gave us fantastic advice on where to eat and hike. The room was clean and cosy and breakfast was outstanding. Everything is homemade with great quality ingredients and absolutely delicious

Don't let the exterior appearance influence you. Our room, the Italian Suite, was immaculate and comfortable. The breakfasts were superb. The owners were always available and helpful. Rooms are on the first floor -- no lugging suitcases up stairs.

Thank you for your positive review. We realized that the exterior of our inn needed attention so Michael painted all three of our buildings this Fall. The property looks vibrant now especially with all the snow this winter. Rosanna More

The breakfast made it. Blueberry pancakes - magnificent. Also lovely to get fresh fruit for breakfast. There is a large, pleasant, communal lounge which we used to sit and read as our bedroom was small. The bedroom had a double bed but little room for anything else, in fact we kept our cases in the car. Bathroom was clean and... More

The property is very nice, within walking distance of "downtown" North Woodstock, we did not go, but a few taverns, etc.. The breakfast was awesome, a wide choice of options-they all looked good. A nice stop! Thank you.
