Was just spending the night in one of my favorite areas, and always carefully select a B&B by its website and responsiveness of the owners. Again, I did well and was not disappointed. A lovely exceptionally well maintained 1912 Arts and Crafts style former home, it was a delight to spend the evening, write my travel blog in the downstairs... More

Stayed at the Wilderness this past July and enjoyed being able to take the short walk downtown to restaurants, shops and a lovely park, however, the best part of the stay was enjoying for breakfast the next morning...Michael's crepes. Some of the best crepes I have ever had! Thank You!

Stayed here two years ago, and was 100% pleased with the entire experience. This time around, the same quality was maintained. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, and space was sufficient, even though we stayed in the smallest room. Breakfast offered several different options, and all included a variety of fresh fruit and just-baked muffins. Portions were generous. Location... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the beautiful B&B. The hosts are lovely gracious people. They know the area well and made great hiking recommendations. They keep a large supply of brochures from restaurants and activities in the area which were very helpful. Our room and the common areas were very comfortable. Coffee and tea were available all day... More

We (two families) have been coming to the Wilderness Inn for at least 20 years--with and without our kids. We have always found it to be a delight! We (two couples) just spent a weekend at the inn while hiking in the White Mountains. Roseanna and Michael welcomed us and have always provided good advice on hikes, restaurants, and things... More

Spent two nights in the "cottage" and it was everything we had hoped!!! Comfortable, clean, and romantic....... Rosanna and Michael went out of their way to welcome us and answer any questions on where to dine, hike and what attractions not to miss....The breakfasts were terrific, with fresh fruit, muffins and crepes. We will definitely be back!!!!

What a find this charming old inn in Woodstock! We are sticklers for cleanliness and this inn hit all the marks. We had the Indian Room and loved the attention to details. Rosanna and her staff are very friendly and accommodating and breakfast was delicieux! The inn is very near the Cafe Lafayette Dinner Train (walking distance) and when we... More

When we arrived at the Inn one of the owners was on her cell phone in the front yard. We pulled in and weren't sure if we were supposed to park where we were while we checked in. She held up her finger to us as if to say wait. When she finished on the phone she said oh are... More

I am so sorry that you were disappointed with your stay with us. Usually we do better. Saturday in July is always busy and sometimes it is difficult to spend enough time with guests checking in as we should. We obviously did not with you and appologize. The Thailand room may be warmer than others particularly in the morning as... More

Two couples spent one night at the Wilderness Inn. Everyone enjoyed our stay. The hosts were personable and interesting, the accomodations were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. We all enjoyed omelettes with choice of cheese and a side of salsa. They were accompanied by delicious peach-almond muffins. Our room was small, but it was fine for a one night... More

I stayed here for two night for the New England Brew Fest. The room was wonderful - I had the New Zealand room which is a smaller room, it was perfect for me. The bed was VERY comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful with a great porch to enjoy it on. Michael, Rosanna and the entire staff were very nice... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to the Wilderness Inn Bed and Breakfast, a 100 year old craftsman style lodge in the heart of the White Mountains. We are ideally located close to Franconia Notch State Park, The Flume, Lost River, Loon and Cannon Mountain ski areas, the Kancamagus Highway, and within a scenic drive to Mount Washinton and Squam Lake. Our favorite aspect of innkeeping is sharing information about our beautiful area. We are glad to talk extensively with our guests about the best places to hike, bike, canoe, swim, fish, and ski. The highlight at our inn is our cooked to order breakfast which includes a fresh fruit salad, Michael's freshly baked muffins, and your choice or omlets, french toast, crepes, pancakes, served with 100% pure maple syrup as well as our homemade apple and cranberry syrups. We also serve a delicious blend of Guatemalan and Ethiopian coffee as well as a variety of teas. All eight rooms/suites have private baths some have jacuzzis and gas fireplaces. Complementary tea and hot chocolate are available anytime during the day. Enjoy! ... more   less
