When I checked in he didn't say a word about the property or the area. Later that night I went to the office and asked for the fire pit to be lit because my daughter and I wanted to toast marshmallows. (The sign by the pit read 7 to 10 PM.) It was only 8:30, but after giving me every... More

What a wonderful motel - a throw back to the fifties! I felt like Janet Leigh in Pyscho - pre-murder of course! The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. They even have a 25c vibrating bed! My brother had stayed here for a night before, and took us here whilst we were visiting New Hampshire. We only stayed the... More

A local cyclist recommended this place. I'm glad she did. All the other places nearby were extortionate in price. I'd just enquired at the Comfort Inn. Being a Sunday night, the prices were silly money. This place was far better. there's no fancy frills here, but travelers seem to like it. Lots of decent characters here. plenty of amenities nearby.... More

This place is awesome, yes it is old and dated, but it is probably the most clean room I have ever stayed in!! it still has vibrating beds, the rooms are small but it has everything you need. It is right on the river, they have full size gas grills to use to cook with, the place is very deceiving... More

We arrived in town with no plans other than looking for some moose, and we were lucky to get a room on a Saturday night. The owner was so helpful and friendly, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The town overall is really charming, so we will be back and we will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I have stayed at The Carriage Motel a few times. Usually after he has done a 2 or 3 day hike of the White Mountains. We always come back when we are in the area. It's cheap, clean, convenient and comfortable. The owner is such a nice person and very helpful and knowledgeable. You really can't beat... More

This was our fourth stay at this little gem. Hikers, hostelers and anyone who appreciates simplicity will see the charm here. There are no fancy chairs, hairdryers, mini-bottles of shampoo or bathrobes. However, the rooms are spotless and the mattresses are super comfortable. Bear in mind that prior to spending a few nights here, we had just spent a night... More

The Carriage Motel is not a 5 star resort by any measure, however, that doesn't make it any less of a great spot to stay when in Woodstock or going to Loon Mt or hiking the Appalachian Trail. The rooms are typical of a by-gone era of mountain motels. You will find wood paneling, a smallish tile bathroom and a... More
