I stayed in a twin room, Alexander--comfortable, cozy, delightful. The upstairs reminded me of the Alcott house in Concord MA, not in layout of course but in the period style, wallpaper, simple painted moldings. Good place to write! Terrific poached egg and smoked salmon with hollandaise at breakfast, wow. Return visits are mandatory.. :)

This really is my favorite place to stay for skiing at my sunapee. Looking forward to expanding my horizons. Sounds like a great hiking base as well. Denis' breakfasts never disappoint and would surely power a good days hiking. Thanks Denis for another special stay with my daughter. If the Inn were an hour further I think I'd still stay... More

We stayed here for just one night while skiing at Ragged Mountain. What a find. Adorable old Inn, bery clean and comfy. Very nice breakfast in the pleasant dining room in the morning and they were even able to accomodate my gluten free dietary needs simply by selecting this prefernce on their web site when making the reservation. Would love... More

Thank you so much for your kind review. During ski season we get a few guests who stay for only one night. While we prefer two night stays because we can visit with and get to know our guests better, we realize one night often fits better with ski plans. Whenever guests inform us of dietary restrictions we do our... More

Spent the w/e of Feb 15-16/2014 at the inn.Stayed on 2nd floor ,room named 'Nancy' a small room that fit us fine as the common areas at the Inn are large and good for reading by the fire. Breakfast was fabulous...home made and very tasty with variations. Employees at the Inn are very helpful with directions to good dinner restaurants.

Thank you for the review. We have 18 rooms, each is unique and each has a private, en suite bathroom. With so many rooms guests can pick one that fits their needs. Nancy and a couple other rooms are smaller, affordable rooms that are very comfortable. And as you noted, everyone can gather downstairs to read, relax, play games. .... More

We stayed two nights as par of a ski trip at Mt. Sunapee. Our host was gracious and welcoming; his dog, Angel, was adorable; and the inn itself is beautiful. Breakfasts were delicious, which is impressive since the host is not a cook by training. The rooms were charming and attractively decorated. We probably should have spent more time examining... More

Thank you Kent, I appreciate your kind review. Hopefully you can return soon to examine the furnishings. Although many are from my great grandmother's house in New Orleans they seem to have been made for Follansbee. So come on back to visit me and Angel and enjoy a great breakfast. More

My family spent one night here last weekend. We were all enchanted by this rambling old inn beautifully situated by Kezar Lake (and connects to the local snowmobile trails). The inn is warm and inviting as is the inn keeper, Denis. The rooms are beautifully appointed, each one having its own personality. We stayed in the Riley Rose room which... More

Thank you so much for your wonderful review, and we surely hope you and your family do return. With the late season snow headed our way the snowmobile trails outside our front door are in great shape. Lots of cars driving on Kezar Lake on weekends as well, so it's plenty safe for snowmobiling. Rylee Rose and several other rooms... More

I was lucky enough to have stayed at the Follansbee Inn with a group of friends for a great weekend of skiing. The inn has a very charming and warm historic feel. Our rooms were very clean and the innkeepers couldn't have been more hospitable. If you stay there I would highly recommend taking advantage of the delicious home made... More

We certainly enjoyed your first visit and hope all of you return (again). Maybe you can visit us during another season; Follansbee and the activities in the area change every season, and each season deserves a visit. That said, the skiing is still great even though we are now into March. In fact, lots of snow headed out way this... More

So glad we found this quaint, historic, and beautifully decorated B&B! I would stay here just to enjoy the fantastically and meticulously prepared gourmet breakfasts. We came up to take advantage of skiing out at Mount Sunappe - a scenic 25 minute drive away. Coming back here after a day of skiing/snowboarding was perfect: the common rooms are lovely (one... More

Thank you Elizabeth, we are glad you found us as well. Many of our guests return year after year at the same time of year. Of course we love to have them back, and they return annually because they enjoy their stay year after year. But I think it's so insightful of you to want to see the inn each... More
