Very comfortable room, excellent service, very nice and personable inkeepers and staff. It was an environment very condusive to mingling with other guests, or just being alone in your room -- depending on one's pleasure. Construction on the road was something of a downer, but overall an excellent place and enjoyable stay. more

I've stayed at the Isaac Merrill House for the past three years, returning each year (along with a group of approximately 25 Boston-area runners and race volunteers) while in town for a local road race. There are other inns and B&B's in town, but each year we stay at the IMH. This place is fantastic: conveniently located in North Conway,... more

After extensive research (pics, reviews & prices) on Inns in North Conway, I finally settled on the Isaac Merrill House and was quite pleased with my find. My husband and I were planning an escape weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. I booked (and prepaid) on line and got what I felt to be a great last minute deal... more

We are awfully sorry you had a bad experience. We have just spent the last 6 months renovating the inn and you are the first that didn't stay. As for your check in time, I did stay up to 12:30 am for you and at that point left you a note and key. I also left you my number to...

We stayed here for two nights and highly enjoyed ourselves. The rooms were clean and soothing. Nothing beats a cozy afternoon by the fireplace. The inn keeper was very personable and made our stay extremely satisfying. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and probably the highlight of our weekend. Excellent location for the tourist attractions in the area. We will be back... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Merrill House. The owner was extremly helpful to us. He recommended restaurants, gave us cross country ski trail passes for free and even helped us plan our drive back to Boston through Maine. The treats available after we returned from skiing (cheese, cake and wine) were great. It's not super fancy but is... more

I have never stayed in a 240 year old building before but we loved every minute of it. Beautifully remodeled, it still definitely shows its age but I have to say Disney could not We went with the family and could stay in a suite with 2 bedrooms which was perfect. The inn is dated to be built in 1771.... more

I spent a skiing weekend with my son at the Isaac Merrill House but wish I had been there the week before with my girlfriend for Valentine's Day. What a charming place with such a friendly atmosphere! It was warm and cozy and everyone was very attentive to our needs. I can't wait to go back! more
