My wife and I stayed at Spruce Moose a few days ago while we skied down (8 miles) the road at Attitash. The lodge and cottages are located off the main road so sleeping is never a problem. The lodge is very well taken care off, clean, and very inviting. Upon entering the lodge you are greeted by the owners,... More

Our 2 night winter visit here was comfortable and enjoyable. Our host left us with a roaring fire which we took full advantage of as they went next door for dinner. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean, however our bathroom was established extremely small . Many options for rooms and beds where available. Host extremely nice and breakfast was... More

We stayed here a couple of days before Christmas-- and had the whole inn to ourselves! Nelly and Leon were warm and welcoming, telling us to make ourselves at home and showing us how to feed the fire in the main sitting room. They even made a special accommodation when we had to leave early the next morning, leaving us... More

We're touring New England, staying at some great places, and this is one of the best! We stayed in "Roger's Retreat" which is simply full of character with bits & bats here, there & everywhere. OK, it's not the typical generic hotel room with sterile modern fittings, so if that's what you want go elsewhere. This is local lodging at... More

We stayed in a cozy dog friendly cottage that had a gas fireplace in the living room and another heater in the bedroom, enough to keep you warm even on the coldest nights. Great location close to the town center and great restaurants. Cottage also had a kitchen with small stove, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, and sink if you... More

North Conway is primarily known for its concentration of outlet stores. Although only a short drive away from this concentration of retail excess, Spruce Moose Lodge is a world away in its country charm and the friendliness of its owners, Nellie and Leon. The night's accommodation was comfortable, quiet and very reasonable. The mix of guests which gathered around the... More

Nellie and Leon were delightful and very attentive to us and fellow guests, ensuring we all enjoyed our visit to the area to the best. There is a real country feel to both the bedrooms and the huge communal living area. I loved having no TV in my room. It is so close to the town 5/10 minute walk but... More

We had a wonderful stay with an 'at home" feel. Nellie and Leon are super nice and make you feel like welcomed friends. The Inn is quiet with a lovely Northern Décor, yet provides a wonderful social opportunity with other guests (new friends from around the globe). Leon is an awesome cook, with a fantastic breakfast every morning, and delicious... More

Just got back from a wonderful weekend in North Conway..this inn is so very welcoming and a piece of country charm..the front porch is heaven with a book and a glass of wine..it is a short walk to the center of town but tucked away just enough for peace and serenity!!! Leon and Nellie are so welcoming and made wonderful... More
