Me and my boyfriend came to brookhill for our 8 year anniversary. We have made it a tradition to stay in North Conway for our anniversaries because we love it so much. This year was our first stay at brookhill, and I have to say it won't be our last. Everything about this place is beyond perfect. From the absolutely... More

This lovely property allows you to be the only guest of Rod&Susan. It is easily somewhere you could stay for a month and have plenty of room. The location is right off the main road but you'd never know it because it is tucked back a ways. In North Conway, there isn't any "best location". The town center has some... More

For those who read many of my reviews already, I don't need to mention I'm traveling quite a lot for my job almost 80% of the year... However, for this very special weekend I was looking for the perfect place for a quiet peaceful romantic getaway weekend with my lovely wife... And I'm so glad I found it almost by... More

As so many others have noted, this is a unique property. Never have my wife and I seen such a combination of spaciousness, tasteful decor, cleanliness, amenities, location, and helpful innkeepers. The property is breathtaking, inside and out, with so many standout features (as I noted to Rod and Susan nearly as soon as we arrived, it's certainly above average... More

Every once in a while, we find a place that wraps its arms around our souls and makes life just perfect. Brookhill is just such a place. The setting in the White Mountains of NH is breathtaking. The view of the mountains (with no other structures to interrupt the landscape) was stunning from the bed, living area, and back patio.... More

I was looking for an accomodation that was out of the ordinary for our 35th anniversary, and was more than pleased that we chose Brookhill. I do not know of another B&B where you are the only guests, and have such warm & friendly hosts as Susan & Rod. They made us feel special the moment we entered. We were... More

If you don't like the White Mountains, quaint New England charm, or being surrounded by nature, the Brookhill Bed and Breakfast alone is worth the trip! That being said, we enjoyed everything above (and drove in from Montreal). Susan and Rod are perfect hosts, and I cannot recommend this stay more, particularly for a romantic vacation. Moreover, if your trips... More

As many of the fellow posters have mentioned, Brookhill truly is One of a Kind. When I look at pictures of properties and read the reviews, I usually take what I see and read, digest them then take my expectations down a few notches....not here at Brookhill. From the warm welcome by Susan and Rod, the charming and cozy accommodations,... More

Our stay at Brookhill was better than anything we could have hoped for. The house is absolutely gorgeous and Susan and Rod are so nice and hospitable. The view is amazing and sitting by the fire was so relaxing. Susan's breakfasts were so delicious! We are already planning our next trip to Brookhill and cannot wait to come back.

What a great joy it was to stay here at this wonderful home! Rod and Susan could not have been more gracious and accomadating. And who doesn't like to wake up to a crackling fire and a lovely breakfast? We found it hard to leave for some skiing and looked forward to returning to yes, another crackling fire! After just... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Brookhill B&B is a unique bed and breakfast that is one-half of what was built 82 years ago as a summer studio for a Boston photographer. Its view of Mt. Washington is considered one of the best in New England. It is more like a cottage than a b&b in that it has a private entrance, large living room with a wood-burning fireplace, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom, terrace and gardens. The owners, Rod and Susan, live in the other half of the home and are therefore available and attentive to their guests needs. They serve a hearty home-cooked breakfast at whatever time guests choose. ... more   less
