For the people who complained about the lack of 90 degree angles in this place... it's a 200 year old building. The architecture is certainly old, but has character. The lounge/bar area felt like an old tavern in England. We were looking for somewhere to hang our hats for a weekend. Everyone we dealt with was very pleasant. Our room... More

What a quaint and comfortable inn! Our room was very very clean and the bedding was soft and comfortable. Sheets were fresh and crisp! The entire inn was quiet and peaceful. The downstairs sitting room was a a great little secluded spot to just get away to sit and read or reflect. Every staff member I met - from the... More

I stumbled across this Inn on the internet and I am so glad I did. My room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. I shared a bath with other guest which I was hesitant about but it was a non-issue. I save $20 off the listed price since I was solo... Awesome! And the rate includes breakfast and I mean a... More

We were looking forward to a nice weekend away and the website seemed intriguing. Our room felt "tired" and not at all clean. There was a giant wet spot on the carpet next to the bed. Upon alerting the proprietor, he told me someone must of spilled some water. I asked for a rug to put over it, since I... More

Very cute Inn with nice decor in the dining/bar areas, but the accommodations are very disappointing. This place is old and it shows. I like the country/rustic feel, but in a clean and more updated way. Blinds in the bedroom had not been dusted in what looked like a year. The wallpaper was dirty and peeling. The "room with a... Everyone at the inn was so nice and friendly. They upgraded us to a nicer room when we arrived just to be nice and the staff was super welcoming. The owner even greeted us and helped us figure out our shopping plans. The inn is historic and has a lot of charm and character. It's a really nice atmosphere, and... More

Very mediocre reception on arrival, bedroom and bed on the small side, we ordered tea which came lukewarm. The inn is on the main road so front rooms would be very noisy. Dinner menu very pretentious. Our lamb (ordered medium) arrived extremely rare (we sent it back) and the vegetables were at best lukewarm even on their first appearance. At... More

The hotel is over 200 years old & it shows in the sloping floor & skinny, steep staircase. Outside of that, the food in the restaurant is excellent, especially the breakfast which is included. The view from the back of the Inn is to die for! Not sure there is a Fitness Center & Spa, I did not mean to... More

Nice hotel, it is worth for its restaurant and view! The rooms we checked were spacious with a well appointed bathroom and had a nice view from the White Mountains which were gorgeous in late September. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. But the restaurant was the best part!

We stayed 1 night, enjoying a delicious, different dinner-duck for me & rabbit cooked 2 ways for my husband. So full we had to turn down the tempting desserts. Enjoyed the open beamed ceiling of the dining room in the original building. Our room was small, but airy and clean. Delighted with next morning's superb breakfast, served with nice style... More
