Recently stayed here for the weekend as a girl's getaway. Had a great room and 2 wonderful homemade breakfasts. The innkeepers are helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The grounds are beautiful even though the are located on a main route right off a rotary! If skiing is your thing, they are located right next to the access road to... More

Our family with two teenage daughters recently stayed in the Whittier room at the inn for a ski weekend. That room sleeps 4 and the full-sized futon was as comfortable as a bed. Bill and Karen are wonderful hosts and were very personable. They made the stay so very pleasant. There are teas, hot chocolate, cookies and snacks available all... More

Unique place, only a handful of rooms but each is named after a favorite author of the owners. I was there with 5 girlfriends for a ski weekend so we had all three rooms on the top floor. I was in the largest with a huge, comfortable king bed, couch and BR. Enough room for the 6 of us to... More

A recent trip to Mt Sunapee started off as a disaster. 15 miles from the 1806 Inn I was involved in a car accident. No one was hurt, but the car was a complete loss. So after calling the police, various family members and my insurance company I called the Inn to let them know I would probably be checking... More

Thank you for all the kind words. We were very happy that you and your two daughters were not hurt. Cars are replacable. Daughters are not! Your girls are very sweet. We enjoyed your stay with us. We like the expression that we "will not let you have a bad time". A good rule for operating a B & B.... More

There are lots of nice things about this Inn but the best is the Innkeepers, Bill and Karen Carruth. They are very interesting people and went out of their way to make us feel warm and welcome. The Inn has a wonderful great room and also library with loads of antique books. Our room was very comfortable, with a great... More

My family (wife and I and 2 teenage sons) stayed at the 1806 Inn while skiing at Mt. Sunapee (great mountain right next to the Inn!), and we had a great time. Bill and Karen were the best hosts, very friendly and helpful. Mt boys had a great time talking to Bill! They had wonderful hot breakfasts every morning, hot... More

I've stayed in many B&Bs around the world, but the 1806 Inn is my favorite because it is not only a beautiful historic building in a wonderful setting right next to Mt. Sunapee, but the owners (Bill and Karen) by far have been the most gracious hosts I've ever met during my travels. My wife and I stayed there shortly... More
