When I travel with a friend as opposed to my wife, I choose motels. We have stayed at many motels all over New England and are two guys who don't need flowered wallpaper nor want to overpay for a room, so motels generally are a good choice. This one is rated as average because it had many pluses, and some... More

Second year staying here. Both times we rented all the rooms but one! The owners are so friendly and accommodating. The view from upstairs rooms is great. I can't wait to go back with the group next year!

This motel is clean and comfortable. It probably would not be comfortable for a whole week, but it was nice for a few days. This is an older motel that has been updated and is kept very clean. There were just a few things that can not be updated or cleaned away, it seemed a bit too close to the... More

What a CUTE, clean, sweet little piece of heaven on earth. With sweeping views of Lake Sunapee, gracious hosts, and clean, but simple accommodations, this quaint motel is a great place for a romantic escape to the beautiful Lake Sunapee region. Not fancy, or elaborate, or anything exorbitant, so if you're looking for refinement in the middle of nowhere, this... More

Cindy and Steve were very accommodating. Cindy provided me with information regarding local attractions upon my arrival. Steve made sure there was always fresh brewed coffee available. The rooms were clean, and the plumbing worked. They have widescreen TV's, Wifi, a little fridge and microwave. Great view right outside your window, and the beach was a short drive away. Beds... I found this motel from reviews in trip advisor. They said friendly, clean, and that they would all return. All true except I felt like I was in the movie Pleasantville and I was back in the 1950's. I would have dispensed with the plastic flowers. The linens were very nice but the pillows were rocks. The room was big... More

We have just spent a very pleasant few days at the Lake Inn, Mount Sunapee. The Inn is situated within two minutes drive of the beautiful Sunapee state beach and all the rooms have spectacular views of the lake. The hosts Cindy and Steve couldn't be more friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived, we felt totally welcome, nothing... More

Thank you for your kind words Nikki. We enjoyed having the four of you stay with us. Seeing the kids every day was wonderful. I was sorry I didn't see you before you left, but did receive the beautiful flower note from Ella...it made my day. We hope to see you again when you are back in the states. More

I have had two extended stays with Cindy and Steve. They have always been accommodating and friendly. I love their dog Brandy who is definitely part of the overall ambiance of The Lake Inn. I have stayed in many different rooms during my time at The Lake Inn and found all of them to be comfortable and clean. I especially... More

We found this motel close to the base of Mt. Sunapee and overlooking Lake Sunapee on a recent trip to NH. The Innkeepers were so friendly and helpful, the views from the rooms (with its own screened porch!) were spectacular. Newbury is a quaint New England town with a pristine 10 mile long lake for the summer and great skiing... More

The room was very clean, and the hosts exceedingly friendly. The free Wi-Fi worked very well. The screened in porch overlooking the lake was a wonderful place to relax and listen to the birds by day and frogs by night. The King sized bed, unusual for a motel, was quite comfortable. All in all a very nice stay, and we... More
