On a dark and stormy night, we swung out of the highway in search of a warm and friendly place. We arrived after the receptionist had left for the night. No problem: a friendly sign gave her phone number and she was back and welcomed us within a few minutes. The room was charming in an old-fashioned country inn way... more

Despite the high ratings found on this website, a friend and I were very disappointed by our recent visit to the New London Inn. The tone was set at check-in. The young woman at the desk, while friendly and helpful, gave us a statement that we were required to sign. Among other things, it warned that we would be charged... more

Wow...I wish I knew that The Bageldogs had been that disappointed during their stay, we surely would have given them a partial or complete refund. Sheets with pills -- that's one I hadn't heard before. They ARE 500-thread-count sheets, and you are correct, those are certainly not supposed to pill. I am terribly embarrassed about the stains in the carpet,...

We just spent 2 lovely mid-week nights here, and can't wait to return. An easy 2-hour drive from the Boston area, with its traffic congestion and interminable drives to get anywhere, New London NH is the archetypical small New England town. It's quiet, although there is a lively tourist and local presence, and pretty, with lots of recreational opportunities close... more

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful trip to New London, New Hampshire. We stayed at the New London Inn, which is an old (parts of it date to 1792) inn on the Main St. of New London. The inn keepers, Bridget Leroy and Eric Johnson, were wonderful in helping us decide what area attractions we should see,... more

This inn is well run with a very courteous and professional staff. The location is also ideal, right in the center of New London. The bathroom was small and a bit hard to navigate but clean nonetheless. Request a king or queen size room as opposed to a double if possible. Overall, a great choice. more

We have eaten at all the restaurants in this area and the New London Inn was by far the best meal in the Sunapee region. The food was fantastic, the appetizers to desserts were all great. The decor was relaxed and lovely, with music that added to a great dining experience. HIGHLY reccomended! more

I live in New London and so I ws thrilled to see the historic landmark New London Inn transformed into a cozy, warm and inviting inn. Of special note is the unique lighting in the dining room. The light fixtures were hand crafted out of wood. The beautiful glow of the light through the translucent wood reflected off the windows,... more

The New London Inn was a dump before the fabulous renovation that has been recently undertaken by Briget Leroy and Eric Johnson. The rooms are charming, individual and comfortable. Try out the Jacuzzi room! The restaurant is not only pleasing to be in, but the food is delicious. The menu has a very good selection and is not too rich... more

I have been in th hotel and restaurant business for over 20 years and, seldom have I enjoyed staying at an inn with amenities, food and service offered with ease, smiles and enjoyment at deliciously enjoyable prices. Charming at least, elegant at best and most of all, incredibly comfortable. Kudos +++ more
