We were married at the hotel last August. Returning this year for our 1st Anniversary. So looked forward to the trip. [Platinum] Noted in reservation that it was our first anniversary. Was hoping for lovely room etc. Checked into a handicapped room on 4th floor - went downstairs and asked for it to be changed (not handicapped). We were then... More

I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful the hotel was and it's a national landmark as well. The rooms are beautiful and the common areas are gorgeous. The grounds are filled with flowers and the staff seems to bend over backwards to help.there is a spa and an indoor pool, they seem to be a little strict about there spa policies... More

Marriott hotel was as expected. Very comfortable beds in an Old world setting. Bathrooms modern and clean. Spa was not top of the line but adequate. Food was excellent, egg white frittata best I have had. Weekend buffet reasonable and delicious. Only negative were two rooms, 207, 211 the vibrations from the band during bridal banquets were disturbing but fortunately... More

The wedding cocktail and reception party took place at this charming hotel. Although we did not stay the night in the room but we stayed partying all night. The staff at the bar during the cocktail were great. One of the guys called Mike was super excited and had a lot of questions concerning our outfit and tradition which we... More

We went for the Sunday brunch for our anniversary and had a very enjoyable experience. Reserved or 10AM and went right in at opening. Didn't realize it but there are better seats in the areas to the left of the main room if you like a little sunshine at your table. We sat in the main room and it was... More

My wife and I, along with another couple, took a 3 day golf trip to Wentworth. The hotel was fantastic, expensive, but you get what you pay for. We arrived to a valet who was eager to help but not pushy. We arrived 2 hrs ahead of check in time and our room was ready. The lobby and halls were... More

We were really looking forward to a one night stay here -to celebrate my husband's birthday. The nightly room rate for any room here - is beyond our budget. So I used points and a cash upgrade fee of $200.00. We arrived and George the Concierge could not have been nicer. Check in went smoothly. Then we got to our... More

Enjoyed a delightful weekend here with my better half. Every meal was outstanding. Loved the Bubbles and Jazz brunch, wonderful quality and selection of foods. Due to the excess consumption of bubbles, we walked over to the marina after and took a fascinating river tour by boat with Captain and Patty's. The captain, being a native, was very knowledgeable of... More

Our room was comped by friends, otherwise, we couldn't afford this property. It was a lovely example of the type of Inns that once dotted Maine's coast during the last century. Thank goodness this beauty was saved and restored to its former dignity. Our room was spacious and charming. I believe a hotel history tour or presentation would be an... More

I stayed here for a conference in November 2013. The building and rooms are beautiful and historic. Views are picture worthy. I didn't get to do much sight seeing, but I saw the sunrise from my room and it was gorgeous. The bar was fun and fitness center fit my needs for the 2 day stay. The food served at... More
