Just got back from a grossly overpriced stay at this hotel. This hotel has a monopoly in the area as it is right near the ski mountain and basically, the only game in town unless you want to spend $400 per night across the street. Our family paid $199 plus tax for a room with a tiled floor (?) and... more

We heard loud thumping sounds sporadically during both nights of our stay. We even moved rooms after the first night because of the thumping but we had even more thumping on the second night. Both rooms were on the bottom floor. The staff did not help though a voucher was offered for a future night free. But they would have... more

We returned for our 3rd stay at the Lake Lodge over New Years Eve 2008 and left very disappointed. This Best Western property has a monopoly at Mt. Sunapee - there is no other hotel with a pool for many miles around - and they truly take advantage of this fact. The rooms are ok, not really clean (dust on... more

We hosted a weekend event for our antique car club at the Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge, and from the beginning the staff could not have been more professional and helpful. The manager, Kevin, was easy to get in touch with and responsive to our needs. The meals were delicious and ready on time, and although the first night there... more

I stayed here in the middle of September and I was expecting a lot worse based off some of the other reviews. It was a nice little place with a loge like feel to it. The front desk staff was very friendly. He went above and beyond. Upon arriving to my first room I noticed the door was latched open.... more

We booked this hotel for a one night stay in order to attend the funeral of our 24 year old niece. I asked for a non-smoking room because I am allergic to cigarette smoke. After we arrived I advised the front desk that someone had indeed smoked in the room and that I would not be paying the charge that... more

This hotel had a great deal. The staff were extremly friendly and could not have been more helpful. The room was fine and the indoor pool was excellent. Breakfast was disappointing due to their restaurant being referbished. This did not detract from the great value. Great location for getting around NH & Vermont. more

The phone wouldn't work. It never did ring, just 'blipped'. Breakfast was a joke...a dirty joke. Fruit flies in the orange juice, had to be thrown out. No cutlery out, cereal bin hadn't been filled in days or weeks, filthy, even beyond filthy kitchen. Room smelled badly...like cockroach spray. Bottom line.....needs a wrecking ball. Stay away. more

I just returned from a stay at the BW Sunapee. I have stayed at this hotel in the past. It's the only true modern hotel near Mt. Sunapee, so they have very little competition. Location to the Mt. can't be beat (less than a mile). The hotel has always been consistantly average in my previous stays. Previous reviews seem a... more
