We picked Zahn's Alpine Guest House after a google search and some of the reviews here. We weren't quite sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised! We arrived, found our name on the chalkboard and found our room. The rooms are clean. It definitely has a European feel. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. Breakfast is very basic: english muffins,... More

I stayed at Zahn's for a business trip to Milford. The Zahn family built and decorated this facility in the theme of Austria to absolute perfection! One can only admire and respect the high degree of effort that they put into building and decorating this facility. This guest house is very clean and peaceful, and the decor is so interesting... We go to Zahn's at least once per year (typically January through March) in celebration of our anniversary. We have been going for almost 20 years now. We have always found it warm and welcoming - whether an "innkeeper" is in attendance or not. The building was imported from Switzerland piece by piece by the patriarch of the family. It... More

I've never stayed at a place like this but it was the closest venue to a wedding. It is a unique place surrounded by beauty. Unique b/c it is like a hostel from the 70s. I mean that a compliment. It's just something you should experience; you won't regret it. Try to stay on the 2nd floor, you can hear... More

Great place to stay. When we arrived we let ourselves in and on the chalk board was our name and room number. We had the whole place to the to of us. We finally met Connie the innkeeper on our second morning there.Had a very pleasant stay. Love the European influence. Everything was clean and well kept. Would recommend Zahn'... More

A friend had picked this place out as a place to stay after some training in Nashua, NH. We had both lived in Germany for a number of years and very much enjoyed the authentic, comfortable atmosphere of the place. We had some plans to possibly travel and see some of the area and, although we did travel a bit... More

My wife and I stayed here for just a couple nights when we were in town. We really liked the atmosphere. We let ourselves in, which is always nice when you've been travelling. We had family staying there, and it was nice that it was organized so we were all together upstairs. Connie was helpful, friendly, and very willing to... More

I just returned from my stay last night and was very pleased. It was so quiet, peaceful, and nestled in the trees. Has a hiking trail on the property which I didn't get to enjoy because of rain and lack of time. Inn keeper very accommodating of our early morning arrival. Good value. Breakfast was very basic for a B&B... More

I was visiting family over the recent July 4th holiday. Needed a place to stay nearby. My family suggested this welcoming retreat. I stayed for 3 nights and would do so again. Connie, the hostess, was very warm and welcoming. My name was on a chalkboard, as I entered. The place is very clean and inviting. There are wood beams... More

We have been staying at Zahn's Alpine Guest House for more than 10 years. We go every year (from CT) and stay a night or two. Carol and Tom have been the "innkeepers" for several years and do a wonderful job of carrying on the warm, friendly atmosphere that we have fallen in love with. We always go in the... More
