Location and views are great. Lake to go fishing and paddle boating was fun. However, the room itself was average. We stayed in the main part of the building, overlooking the lake. The housekeeping was terrible! Had to call 2 days out of 5 when nobody came to clean the room by 4:00pm. The first time we got a coupon... More

Paid extra money for a premium room overlooking the lake with queen beds. GOT room overlooking parking lot (with lake in the FAR distance) and smelly, tiny room with small beds. Went back to front desk twice and they refuse to move us!! This has never happened to us. Usually when a customer is not satified, a resort will accommodate... More

We vacation every summer in NH, and enjoy the mountains. We have stayed at other nearby places over the years, but had never stayed at Indian Head. Decided to give it a try this year for a day or two. They were almost full, but had one of their "newly remodeled" cottages open. Don't ever go there. The room had... More

We stayed July 22, to the 24th, with 3 adults, and 2 children in room 309 which is a Lakeview large room and the only one with a king, double and a pull out queen bed. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable with high count sheets. The pools are heated and clean. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.... More

It's been 3 or 4 years since I visited Franconia Notch and the Indian Head Resort. In that time, there have been many changes and all for the better! It is obvious that the owners have been pouring profits back into the place to continuously upgrade and make every sparkling new! The front desk clerk remembered my name! How did... More

You will get better bang for your buck if you stay on the other side of the mountain in North Conway. First and foremost I would strongly encourage all the staff of the Indian Head to visit the Red Jacket to see how a successful hotel operates starting with the way guests are greeted, checked in and so on. Indian... More

We've stayed here several times, in every season. It's a great place for kids--in the summer there is nightly bingo and a show, which my kids love; there is a large paddle boat lake, two pools, one indoor in case of rain, and it's ideally located for kid-friendly hiking near Franconia Notch, the flume, and there is also a water... We spent 2 nights at this place in May. It was suggested to me by another friend. The staff was very nice and helpful. Its location is great for most of the attarctions in this area. Rooms were very clean and parking was easy. we enjoyed the breakfast. We did not try the dinner as we are vegetarians and the... More

The Indian Head is a great place for families with young children. There are lots of kid friendly activites planned - like bingo, karaoke, and an ice cream sundae bar. The outdoor pool is always heated and is adjacent to the indoor pool. There is a nice playarea too...and a small lake with free paddleboats. Be forwarned - this place... More
