We went for our Bachelor / Bachelorette get away.... I have vacationed in the White Mtns for the past 40 years, and have driven by this property 100's of times, when I was informed we were booked here I wasn't sure what too think.... honestly never gave it a second look....I will say I was pleasantly surprised! Clean....clean...clean.... which is... More

Being a single mother of two vacations can be a bit intimidating and overwhelming. I believe The Kancamagus Lodge is family owned, and from the moment we arrived they made us feel like family. On previous trips my kids and I have stayed in larger hotels but they don't compare. The Kancamagus Lodge won me over with its exceptional cleanliness,... More

We stayed here for one night in August, and were pleased that it was clean and serviceable. The pool was very nice, and they also had a game room, playground, and a fire pit. We were on the back side of the lodge, away from the highway, so we didn't have much noise from that. The restaurant they had was... More

The Kancamangus Lodge is a cozy family get away location that offers many amenities such as pool, fire pits, basketball court, game room, on site restaurant, very comfortable lodge site and and a very friendly staff. The rooms are cozy, clean and offer what is needed for comfortable lodging such as a fridge. If there is ever any issue, the... More

We recently returned from a 3 night stay at the Kancamagus Lodge. The service was wonderful, very friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. The rooms were a little out dated, but the overall property made up for that! The kids enjoyed the playground, basketball hoop and the fire pit every night. The indoor pool was probably the... More

Staff very friendly, good location, nice pool, but room left something to be desired. We immediately noticed an unpleasant smell which meant we had to air it out. Room fairly small, and lodge is right next to the highway, so was very noisy with the window open. Had a mini fridge though which was nice. We were happy to only... More

Thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts on our property. I am happy that you found our staff, location, and amenities acceptable. I am concerned that you were not completely satisfied with your room though. From your review, it appears that you stayed in one of our standard rooms and you noticed an unpleasant smell. Lovely motel, with lovely big clean rooms. It is located next to lots of restaurants and bars - which is really handed after a long day travelling. The manager is very welcoming and we had a room on the upper floor which had a small balcony. Approx £60 per night

Thank you for the "Excellent" review! I am glad you enjoyed your stay in our balcony level room. I am pleased you noticed how clean the room was also, our housekeeping staff is very diligent and they appreciate when people notice their hard work. We look forward to hosting your next stay with us when you visit from the U.K.... More

We took our first family vacation to New Hampshire and chose to stay here after reading many reviews. The lodge is not one of the newly built large hotels that you pass by that all had vacancy signs; Kancamangas Lodge had no vacancy ... That says a lot. The lodge was a good home base to do a lot of... More

Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us and for writing such a nice review! As you stated we are not a new, fancy, large hotel . We are a small, clean, friendly , family owned property that is more of a home than a hotel. My favorite task of the day is hanging out that "No Vacancy"... More

When you stay at a local establishment (read: not a national hotel) you often take a chance. Sometimes it works out well, and sometimes it doesn't. For us, this was one of the times it did. We stayed for a week here and rather enjoyed ourselves! First thing you have to be aware of is that the decor is dated.... More

Thank you so much for the great review! I am so happy too that you decided to try a local family owned establishment rather than one of those" national chain hotels". Our top priority at our Lodge is Cleanliness and Service, and I feel we surpass expectations on all levels of each!! I am not sure what specific room you... More

Recently stayed at the lodge for two nights. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff, especially the owners were very helpful and nice. The room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. We booked a room with a balcony but did not end up spending any time on it. The view was OK but next time probable would... More

Thank you for the review! I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us, our balcony level rooms are the same size as our lower level standard rooms, but the private balcony does give you some extra space to spread out. The balcony rooms are only $10 additional and are very popular option during the Summer and Fall. Our restaurants... More
