Stayed at this motel after a very terrible experience My family and I had with another motel in the area! This is the place I should have booked in the first place. It is very clean, updated and smells fresh new. Close to everything and very accommodating for families. Office and staff were very friendly and I will defiantly stay... More

My wife and I were lucky enough to get a last-minute reservation at this motel on the Saturday evening of a busy weekend. The owner was very pleasant and helpful over the telephone, and we managed to get what had to be one of the last available rooms in the Motel. Other reviews are correct about the decor -- our... Very convenient location, beautiful, small sandy beach with clear, clean lake. Gorgeous sunsets! Great diner across the street (Union Diner), and lots of places to shop and eat very close by. Weirs beach is just a short drive away. Yes, the place has a definite old vibe to it but in the best way, as it is very clean. Owner... More

I spent one night in Laconia while attending an event and was fortunate to get the one Saturday night at Barton's due to a cancellation. There is generally a minimum stay and it was NASCAR weekend. The owner was extremely helpful in promptly answering my email and returning my calls to secure the room. The process went very smoothly. Barton's is... More

Our family of 6 stayed at the Barton's Motel for 2 nights. The rooms were meticulously cleaned and the location was great. It is located in the quiet area of Lake Winnipesaukee but is close to Weirs Beach where there are amusements, go karting, and a giant arcade. There are some fast food restaurants in walking distance which was great... More

For the good part: This motel is located on a very pretty sandy beach on the lake with chairs to relax and enjoy the sunset. They also had a nice pool. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The motel was very clean and bed is comfortable. There is a small refrigerator in the room. The... More

This is my third time staying at Barton's over a number of years and I am still happy with the experience. The place is very dated(meaning retro in cool terms) but impeccably clean and well kept. The beach area is relaxing on a nice summer day. The price is right for the accomodations provided. Like others said the water pressure... More

Had always driven by this motel and remarked on how well-cared for it always looked. We needed a motel last week and booked elsewhere, but had to find another motel for one night because they had no vacancies at the other place for all the nights we needed. Lucky me, tBarton's did have a room for the one night we... More

Like a time warp, but not at all a bad thing... This is a classic 1960's motel, that has been lovingly maintained and cared for by the original family. While it is set up like a typical roadside motel, (park in front of your room, all one story) it has some great things going for it: First, the buildings do... More

I love this place! It's got a great beach, beautiful big pool and the location cannot be beat! The rates are very reasonable and the owner is very nice and accommodating! Will definitely be back!
