Too bad this was the only place available on a busy weekend in October. We should have known better. So we upgraded to a suite with jacuzzi, just to make it fun. Here's what we got: --noone came to desk to check us in for 20 min. --flies infested bathroom --key lights, in our room, and also in other rooms... More

Took advantage of the Valentine's package that included a 1-night stay, dinner, and spa treatment. The owners were extremely friendly, helpful and fun! We went exploring during the day, using our snowshoes on their expansive trails on the property. Sunset views of the mountain were fabulous. Dinner on site was great and we ended our stay with a wonderful 60-minute... More

I was very disappointed with the Grand View Inn I'm sorry to stay. For $100 a night, I would have been ok - but not at $175. I understand it's peak season - but at that rate, a nicely cooked breakfast (which I've always had at B&Bs) would have been nice, soap in both the shower & sink, better furnished... More

We stayed two nights at the Grand View. The grounds surrounding the property are impeccable and the huge sweeping porch was fabulous! The restaurant was delicious and we highly recommend it. The entire staff was so cordial, gracious and helpful. We notice they had lots to do for families although we were a couple with no children on the trip.... More

The scenic view is grand, however, the main building that we stayed in needs some TLC. Ripped wallpaper, torn screens, chipped paint, & stained carpeting can all be taken care of very easily. I would have loved to have had curtains on my window in our room. Mini blinds do provide privacy but lacey curtains would have added some charm.... More

I really don't even know where to start- I got married here on New Years Eve [2009] and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I stayed at The Grandview with everyone in my wedding party [8 gals, their husbands and 6 children]. Everyone was SO flexible, hospitable and warm from the moment we arrived [stayed for... More

My husband took me here for my 40th birthday. It was a wonderful weekend...the view was stunning and the room was lovely. The food was plentiful and delicious. We plan a return visit...when we can get away without children, as this is a romantic place.

Beautiful historic property, originally an early 1800's tavern with a rich history as a working farm, seasonal vacation home, inn and year round residence. Property sits at the base of Mt. Monadnock with beautiful mountain and pastoral views. Our street address is 580 Mountain Rd., Jaffrey, NH 03452. One of several buildings on the estate, the huge 6 bedroom, 8 bath brick mansion was built with talent and craftsmanship from a bygone era. Tastefully furnished, this impressive home features elegant period details and country charm. In addition to 5 second floor bedroom suites and one third floor bedroom suite, the home has a large, lovely eat-in country kitchen, formal dining room with chandelier, cozy den, peaceful library and huge formal living room on main floor. A large furnished screened porch sits off living room. Basement has an additional bathroom and game room with fireplace, pool and foosball tables. Beautiful outdoor space includes a stone terrace off kitchen. The brick house stays comfortably cool through the summer months. This gem is a true vacation retreat. The caretaker lives next door to the estate and I live just down the road. Each of the spacious six bedroom suites has a king size bed and its own private bathroom. Activities on the property include: hiking the 333 estate acres, walking or biking the estate's internal road network, birdwatching / observing extensive wildlife, climbing Mt. Unlimited scenic opportunities for artists and photographers. Patriot Farm at the Grand View Stables (look up online) is located across the street at 557 Mountain Rd., Jaffrey, NH.
