This place was super. Food was very good. Huge front porch with rocking chairs and a smoking area! The scenery and peace and quiet was wonderful. I would stay here again! more

Wow.. I can't believe I didn't write a review earlier. I actually work at another historic property in NY and had won a free stay here for "Employee of the Year" via a swap. Anyways, after looking at their literature and website I was really expecting something else. After a VERY long drive, well only six hours after a full... more
My wife and I like this old place even though it is far from perfect. The building needs maintenance. They keep the front facade in good condition but around the back and sides shutters are falling off and the paint is peeling. The rooms and suites are not classy, but kind of like a farmhouse. Plain carpet, simple beige vinyl... more
The best place for a couples long weekend in New England. The inn has so much character and charm. If you're looking for something with historical charm, modern convenience and an atmosphere of overall comfort, charm and welcome then this is the place. The front desk staff was absolutely the best, especially Greg - he gave us wonderful directions to... more
We have returned from the Eagle Mountain House and our annual visit. Much to our delight; this historic hotel is receiving a great deal of love and care from its owners. We are pleased efforts are being made to preserve this authentic and architectural New England wonder. First to greet us was new parking lot along with a new roof... more
I stayed at the Eagle Mountain House for a weekend away with friends. This place is definitely a bit rickety and rough around the edges. The floors are squeaky and the carpet's faded, but it can all be overlooked. It has everything you need plus charm and friendly service. Our room had all the amenities of a traditional hotel -... more
Okay, you can't compare this to a Ritz or a Four Seasons, but the location and the temperment of the locals makes up for the creaky floors, the drafty windows, and "upgraded" features such as sprinklers. It's old. When I get this old, I hope I hold up half as well. For an authentic New England experience, this is definitely... more
We stayed at the Eagle Mountain Resort in November, in the White Mountain Region of New Hampshire. This was right after the fall foliage season ended, and right before Xmas season begain. I can't tell you how quiet and peaceful this resort is! There are not many tourist during November, and the Front Desk doesn't put you near the other... more
We have been going to the Eagle Mountain house for many years and enjoy our stay each time. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the food is always enjoyable. I have noticed that over the past year the hotel has seemed to up it's rates. There are many different lodging options in the area and I hope they do... more
We had a 2 night stay in this lovely old hotel early in October. The location is beautiful, surrounded by gorgeous scenery. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. We had quite a struggle to get ourselves and our suitcases into the extremely old lift, somebody had to come and hold open the very heavy door for us! Our first floor... more
