Dana Place Inn is a remote but comfortable inn in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It is easily accessible to a number of local attractions. Service was very personalized and good. The room was a nice size and comfortable with doors that opened up to the natural sounds of the river that flowed at the back of the inn.... more

My girlfriend and I spent Labor Day weekend at the inn and had a great stay. Our room was very cozy with an outdoor balcony. We were taken very good care of since the moment we walked through the door. Every afternoon there was coffee and cheese and crackers for a refreshment. We also enjoyed being able to relax in... more

Looking over the reviews this place seems to inspire major ambivalence. Our experience was in line with the negatives. I'd like to make allowance for them finding themselves short of help on a holiday weekend, but they don't deserve it. Rave reviews about Robin, but we found her not helpful when we could find her at all. Ouright gaffes like... more

My husband and I flew to Boston & drove 3 hours to Dana Place. We stayed 3 nights before returning to spend some time in Boston. We were shown to our room which had been upgraded to a king bed on the 2nd floor . That was nice. The furniture in the room did not appear to be antique ,but more... more

They claim to be family friendly, we got the storyland package, our room was upgraded which was a huge plus but the dining room on;y had 2 high chairs, 1 of which was given to a guest to keep in her room. We were traveling with 5 kids and had 1 high chair at meals, we had made reservations prior... more

Dear Guest, We are sorry we did not meet your expectations, but you invited your friends to dinner we want to thank you for that, but you needed 6 high chairs. If you had let us known prior to arrival, we could have borrowed them from the inn down the road. We tried to do our best and offered to...

My wife, myself and our dog stayed at the Dana Place (It was a Bed & Breakfast that would take our dog also). I was told the hotel had Wifi, but not in our room. My computer found NO WiFi signal. Who needs Wifi anyway when your trying to get away for the weekend. But the first night the toilet... more

I read a bunch of reviews before we went but was comforted by the notes that the Inn had recently been renovated. When we got there I immediately saw that the 'renovations' were barely noticeable. Our tiny room was very cold (the management did bring us a portable electric heater), the furniture was in bad repair and looked to be... more

Dear Guest, We are sorry you did not enjoy your room, but we did notice that you had good thoughts about our chef and his food. As for our updates, they have happened and your note of "old" we believe is not correct. The inn was recently upgraded, your room was upgrade with new bath and carpet, and the common...

If you want peace and quiet, the Dana Place is the place! Off the beaten path of North Conway, but still close enough, the sound of the river is what you hear the most. The hospitality while staying in the Inn was great, and the rooms were very cozy! A must visit if you are looking for a relaxing place... more

I read reviews faithffully but have never written one, until now. This is strange in that we did not get to stay the full length at Dana Place but I needed to comment on the service we received. Due to miscommunication, we were booked in a room with many stairs. The room was very nice and cozy. However, with very... more

We stayed at the Dana Place Inn for 2 nights during a trip to Story Land with our kids ages 2 & 4. After reading some of the reviews of this hotel, I was a little nervous about what we would find when we got there. Thankfully, we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a "top-floor suite" which, as their... more
