I am finding it difficult to review this hotel, a family run business with real interesting characters owning the property. Lots of tips on where to go during your stay which was great really comfy beds and large rooms but overdue a makeover. Little sleep achieved on both nights because of various equipment emitting blue/green glows and a generator/heater somewhere... More

The lodge was great. Family owned and run. The OWNER WAS THE BEST.We ran into car problems and he came to our rescue. He did not have to do that, but did. Our stay was good. the beds great. The service excellent.

This hotel on the edge of Jackson is a really friendly, comfortable family owned concern that provides a warm welcome, home baked cookies, and great advice on where to drive for the best views. Our room was large, clean, and very comfortable, with a very useful USB port in a wall socket. The small balcony had a lovely outlook on... More

Advertised " internet wifi in the rooms" is false. There is no wifi in the rooms. We booked based on good reviews on TripAdvisor and were sorely disappointed. The moment we stepped out of our car the lack of maintenance was seen everywhere. Our room was smelly and dank. The furniture was old and worn. The "breakfast" consisted of pastries... More

A sad state of disrepair and neglect is evident in every spect of this property. We were checked into a ground floor room facing the highway which exuded the sickly sweet smell of cleaning products. Opening the slider for ventilation, we found the screen door completely inoperable and off the tracks to a patio littered with dead bugs and debris.... More

Stayed 5 nights in last September. The Lodge is well built, spacious room, with beautiful large back yard by the river. Amazing spot. Good comfortable bed. But no real winter blanket. Nice and warm homey breakfast, complimentary. Coffee and tea 24/7 free. Good location for touring the White mountains as well as N Conway shopping centers. Large parking. Free. Unfortunately,... Older property perhaps 30 to 40 years old. Wifi in rooms "not working" per front desk. Deferred maintenance apparent everywhere - peeling paint and rotted wood. Room 8: Ripped and torn upholstery. Defective slider doors and screens. Dated furniture and linens. Intense road noise with windows open -- with windows shut the room smelled stuffy and well used.

My daughter and I planned this trip so we could BTS shop and visit Storyland. When we first arrived the guy at the desk was on the phone so he just handed us a key and told us to go get settled. I was a little disappointed that we never got the run down of the hotel and amenities but... More

First and foremost, I must disclose that I have vacillated for weeks over whether or not to submit a bad review; but as a Senior Contributor to Trip Advisor, I felt it was my duty to do so. I booked this hotel based upon my own prior experiences there, granted my last visit was in 1998. I also trusted the... More
