My husband and I stayed at the Carter Notch Inn last week - gorgeous setting - it was wonderful! The hosts, Dick and Sally, are very warm, relaxed people - great sense of humor! They had excellent ideas of where to dine and things to do in the area. The breakfast were incredibly good and so filling. We can't wait... More

My husband and I made a return trip just this weekend and it had been over a year since our last visit to the area which was way to long. Everything was just as wonderful as on prior trips and the owners Dick and Sally are top notch innkeepers and gracious hosts; it's no wonder Carter Notch Inn has been... More

We stayed at Carter Notch this weekend and had the best time. Loved the room, the breakfast, the cat, the wine and meeting other guests. Everything a top shelf B & B should be. Hope to be able to find a vacancy to stay again in the future! Didn't know about the hot tub that is open til 10:00 -... More

Stayed in the Carter Notch Inn in late October 2011, just before the bad snow arrived, for one night as part of a road trip through New England and down the East Coast. This was one of our favourite stops, because of both the B&B and the beautiful scenery. Dick and Sally are great hosts and we enjoyed meeting the... More

Sally & Dick were the most attentive hosts and Jackson was the most "Christmasy" place I've ever been. We both loved it and can't wait to go back. Mr. Dudley (woof) and Ms. Lulu (meow) were an added bonus too. More

My husband and I just returned from the Inn...we have been visiting for many years during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and it was perfect, as always. Sally and Dick are so warm and welcoming. All of the details- the nice fire, the great company of the other guests, the yummy treat jar, spectacular rooms and awesome breakfasts are what keep... More

This was our 6th (or more) visit and it was every bit as good as the first if not better. You will not find more charming and hospitable hosts as Dick and Sally or a more perfect location for all your white mountain activities. I highly recommend. More

I stayed in the inn late October. I can't begin to tell how nice, welcoming and kind the owners are. I hiked by myself. They recommended what trails I should chose, provided maps and tips. They asked me about food preferences and cared enough to prepare a special breakfast dish for me. The owners are English originally so breakfast was... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in mid September and it was, without doubt, the hightlight of our 3 week, first-ever, trip to New England. We stayed in Room 6 which was beautiful, every comfort, spotlessly clean and very roomy for a longer stay. Not only the most comfortable bed but also 2 chairs to relax in (and wonderful balcony... We arrived at Carter Notch much later than expected (I misread the map) and our host had typed up a welcome letter with welcome instructions and the time for breakfast. He had waited up for us as long as he could. Our room was spacious but cozy and we enjoyed opening the windows (we're from Florida) and turning on the... More
