This was the perfect place for our family to stay on our visit to New Hampshire! We are so happy we stayed here. Our rooms were spacious and clean (room 111 and 112). The breakfast was delicious, especially the made-to-order waffles and bakery bread! There were so many options to make everyone happy. The big windows in the eating area were perfect for watching the snow fall while enjoying a cup of coffee. The inn keepers are warm and friendly! They happily offer great excursion and restaurant suggestions! The location was perfect for the winter activities we wanted to try in the area, such as The Cog Train, Hammerdown snowmobiling, visiting Diana's Baths, the Snowcoach and snowshoeing at Great Glen Trails.( We lived all of them, by the way) It was just a very short drive to the quaint town of North Conway. Fun shops to see! Definitely recommend eating at Tuckerman's across the street. We also liked Flatbread Co. in North Conway and Christmas Farm Inn (BOGO entrees on Monday nights). We enjoyed the game room and outdoor hot tub in the evening since it got dark so early. Such a cozy, unpretentious inn! We would definitely stay here again!…

I would really like to give the Old Field House 5 stars but there are a couple of reasons that make it a 4 star place. The owners and their dog are wonderful and welcoming. The breakfast, particularly the waffles, is great. The building itself is quite old and not updated. While it maintains a certain charm, it could use some updates. The pool and hot tub are nice amenities, but the pool is too warm to actually swim in and the pool house is unfinished. The hot tub is outside, which is fun on a cold, winter day. It is conveniently located to several ski places and the town of North Conway.

We booked this Inn for a couple night stay during the holidays. The price was good for the time of year as the North Conway area is popular during that time of year. I was hopeful, as my wife and I had stayed in one of the condos about 17 years ago and had a great time. We checked in and went to our room in the Inn on the 2nd floor. The room was small and in need of updating. The beds, which we thought were supposed to be Queen sized but were Full, were extremely uncomfortable. The mattress was very hard and difficult to sleep in. The room was clean but very out dated. The floor was carpeted and the bathroom was very small. The shower head poured out water in a stream, not like a normal shower head. Not that I really care but the TV was at least 15 years old. It actually had a DVD player hooked up to it and you can get DVD's at the front desk. Everyone at the Inn is very friendly and many of the guests seem to like the cozy atmosphere of the common room. I guess I'm just not an Inn type person.…

Great place to relax! Highlight were the jacuzzi, the banana pancake and the old fashion DVD players (I really enjoyed going through the collection and getting several movies to watch in the weekend like I did many years ago).

We got a jacuzzi/fireplace suit, it was clean, comfortable, private and had close parking. We were close to many awesome restaurants (10 min or less) and close to a bunch of skiing/snowboarding. There was also good internet access and great breakfast, I definitely want to go back for the waffles, simply amazing!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Old Field House for a weekend while in NH to hike up Mt. washington. The owners/operators were very welcoming and friendly. They offered to start breakfast early for us the day of our hike knowing we were going to be leaving early, and they even gave us the summit forecast as we ate our delicious eggs and waffles. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends and family.

Really warm, friendly, comfortable and homely place to stay with a very good breakfast. Good location with excellent bar - restaurant (Tuckermans) just across the road. Hot tub just out the back and the possibility of seeing some wildlife in the back garden.
