Our 6th stop on our 3 week trip around New England, we stayed here for 3 nights over the Independence holiday celebrations and had a very enjoyable visit. Our room was the Bennett Cove, it was very comfortable, clean and well-appointed, plenty of drawer space but no wardrobe, only non-working decorative faucets to hang our clothes on. If you had... We stayed here in late October, in the top-floor room called the Eagle's Nest. Very nice and very homey with lots of rustic New England flair in the room & bathroom. The room was rather small, though, for the king-sized bed it contained, and we had to open all the windows to keep the room from getting too hot. It... More

My wife and I were traveling through New England this past fall and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful roadside scenery leading to Squam Lake. We booked for both a dinner and an overnight stay at the Squam Lake Inn. The restaurant is small but nicely appointed. We chose to sit on the outdoor patio and enjoy the evening ambiance. Our waiter... More

I don't typically stay at B&B's, but I was in the area for work and Squam Lake Inn seemed like the best lodging option. I am so glad I stayed here and if all B&B's were like this I would always stay at them! Molly and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and always helpful. The bed was... More

First, I must respond to the comments in the review below. I, as a guest, was in the lobby when she arrived and witnessed the entire interaction. The staff was warm and accommodating to her and provided multiple suggestions to her. The Market was not mentioned at all as it was already closed at the hour she arrived. (We adore... More

What can I say over the years I tend to stay in 4/5* hotels. However never in my lfe have I enjoyed my stay somewhere quite as much. The hospitality was fantastic nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are tastful (although small) and the beds so comfortable and have the softest of sheets. The breakfast although there was no... More

This used to be one of my favorite inns, quirky, great gardens, excellent food. Unfortunately the owners have become greedy. I booked in for my birthday, I was traveling but decided to journey a long way from Maine to treat myself here. What a disaster. When I arrived another couple was waiting and we had to look for someone to... More

We had an excellent stay at the Squam Lake Inn. The rooms are very nice with great attention to detail. Nicely decorated, comfortable bed, and quiet. Great location. Restaurant is excellent with creative, flavorful dishes. Overall outstanding.

Very welcoming inn keeper who suggested a trip on the lake and a restaurant for dinner - she even booked both. It was a great shame that the restaurant for dinner at the inn was closed as the food at breakfast was excellent. The room was very well equipped but tiny, there wasn't even room for a bedside table on... More

My husband and I just loved this Inn. The owner and managers were very personable and really know how to make their guests welcome. From the minute we arrived we knew this was going to be a great get away. The included breakfast was wonderful both mornings and we had dinner both nights sitting outside( we had a beautiful, warm...
