We had a teriffic stay at the Manor on Golden Pond. No detail is overlooked with respect to the lovely buildings, grounds, amenities and service. I would highly recommend it for a luxury getaway - the staff and owners are very solicitous and go out of their way to make your visit a great experience.

An awesome location where you can relax in the NH mountains enjoying a cozy and friendly environment while you seek out the area full of outdoor activities. The rooms are fantastic, reading in the main room with the fire blazing will have to relaxed in moments. The staff are friendly and helpful in meeting all your requests and questions. We... More

Very disappointed with the entire stay. The Manor is off the beaten path, the rooms are very pricey, it is more like a hotel than a B&B, it is across from the lake and you cannot access the water as it is all private. Nothing is close by. The rooms themselves are nice but the photos on the website are... More

We are never happy to hear a guest has had a disappointing visit. It is true the Manor is ‘off the beaten’ path however we’ve never alluded to anything different. We are located in the small town of Holderness in the lakes region of central NH, a rural and beautiful part of the country and anything but the city or... More

As the focal point of a 60th Birthday celebration this hotel proved an enormous disappointment. From the website it seemed to promise all we were looking for 3 nights of luxury, good food and some much needed peace and quiet. It couldn't have more different. On arrival the hotel seemed tired and in need of refurbishment, our room dark and... More

This was our second stay at the Manor and will be our last. We had a package that included breakfast and one dinner. Dinner was quite stuffy - the owner (Maryellen?) seated us, and her manner was not warm or friendly - she has an air of superiority about her, which I found rude. The waitress was equally unfriendly and... More

What a disappointment - the place is in need of repair - shower faucets are worn and leaky - fireplace smoked up the room - bed so soft you fall through it. Old noisy room air conditioner. Menus look good on paper but food is not up to par. Service aloof and indifferent. Surcharges everywhere!! We were looking for a... More

My husband and I just enjoyed 3 beautiful days at the Manor on Golden Pond. The setting is beautiful with gorgeous views, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, lovely rooms with all the trimmings and fabulous food! A perfect place to unwind and enjoy life - we will definitely be back!

I've stayed at the "Manor" on Golden Pond for several years now. The stuffy service and outlandish prices were always worth the hassle for one reason: Squam Lake. I checked in this year ready to take a quick dip in the lake before dinner. Imagine my surprise when I learned that the lake access has now been restricted! I (foolishly)... More

We live nearby and looked forward to dining at the Manor Restaurant. We had a gift certificate for $100 but dinner for 2 without any wine or alcoholic beverages came to $134. A generous gratuity was prefigured into the bill. The property was pleasant but we were seated next to a window with a view of a hedge and a... More

This Inn should be called the Manor down the hill and across the road from the lake. We booked a lake view room for $345 a night. The room was tiny with lots of mirrors to try to make it seem bigger, the bathroom was tiny, and the room smelled of smoke. There were two flies on the welcome to... More
